The next day when I awoke, there was no Jethro and no breakfast.
"Should have known that his kindness would have worn out." I sighed. "Who would have known that it would have lasted for less than a two days."
It's not a surprise. I'm been chasing after him for almost two years. He's a criminal. I'm a cop. Not a surprise.
"I can at least try to move."
My muscles were screaming in pain with every movement I made, but I persevered. I typed into my wrist communicator my approximate coordinates and put on the distress signal.
"It's only a matter of time." I reassured myself.
I laid back down and took a small nap. I was hungry when I awoke, so I pushed myself back up. There was a small bush filled with berries nearby. I snacked on them until I was no longer peckish.
The natural sounds of this planet were quite hushed. Not too many animals made much noise here, I suppose. This planet hasn't been charted out yet, so little is known about it.
I grew lonely quickly. I'm normally surround by my crew at every second of the day. I feel like a little beetle on this planet.
"How long will it take them to find me?" I mused. "I've been holing myself up in my room recently. Would they notice before they get back to Planet Libis?
I didn't notice the passing of time, but before I knew it, night was upon me. I slept uncomfortably anticipating my stay on this planet.
