As Èponine walked back to her hide out, she heard someone walking behind her. She turned around to see who was walking behind her, but she saw no one. She started running, fearing that it was her father. If her father had found her, she would be in big trouble.

As she was running, she tripped over a rock, and fell.

She heard the footsteps getting closer and closer. Her fear grow stronger and stronger. She couldn't get up and run because when she fell she had cut her knee on something sharp and her leg was bleeding badly.

She saw a small figure standing next to her. Gavroche. Her little brother was falling her.

"Gavroche! It's only you! Thank god!" Èponine was over joyed to see Gavroche.

"Èp! I've missed you!" He saw that she was bleeding. "Oh god, 'Ponine. I'm gonna go get help! Hold on!"

Gavroche was gone in a heartbeat. Èponine didn't know who he would find to help, but she trusted her little brother to find someone.

Gavroche came back with two men. Èponine has never seen these men before. But she let them help her.

"Joly! Her leg is bleeding badly. Can you help her?" Gavroche said to one of the men. The man nodded and had the other man pick her up and carry her away.

They took Èponine to the ABC Cafè. Èponine remembered that Enjolras said he was leader of the Friends of the ABC, and was hoping to see him.

She didn't know why she wanted to see him so bad. She doesn't even know him. She didn't understand.

Joly stitched up her leg, and wrapped it up. "You're gonna be alright. Just a little cut." Joly said with a smile.

"Thank you for help me. I don't often get help from other people... I usually just take care of myself." Èponine said. Putting her head down.

She didn't know Enjolras was standing right behind her. He felt bad for her. He thought she deserved more than what she had. He cared about her...

"Èponine..."

Èponine turned around. When she saw his face, she felt a warm feeling in her whole body.

"Enjolras. It's nice to see you again." She said. Trying not to smile.

"It is nice to see you again as well." Enjolras said, as he walked closer to her.

"If you don't mind me asking, where do you sleep at night? I know you don't sleep under the same roof as your father." He only knew this because Marius had told him about how Èponine's father treated her. It broke his heart.

"On the streets..." Èponine looked down, ashamed.

"Èponine..." Enjolras kneeled down so that he was face to face with her.

"How about you stay with me? Just until you find somewhere else to stay..."
