Chapter 5: his ex.

When I got back home I threw myself on the bed, it felt so comfortable after having a meal.

My ipad's skype rang, it was already signed in automatically.

It was my mom.

Yeah she didnt even bother to call.. until today. Was I a burden to her all this time?

I answered."hello"

"Hello my sweetie, how is everything going?" She said while smiling and waving.

"Good" I said.

"Are you okay huni? You dont feel well?" She asked.

"Im tired, I need to sleep" I said trying to end the convo. "I will talk to you some other time"

She sighed. "Alright. Sleep well sweetie"

I waved and ended the video call.

I heard a message notification from my phone. I grabbed it and check it.

It was a message from Kim Tan. "Dont miss your meals you egghead, you passed out today because your body was weak"

I smiled slightly and threw my phone to sleep.

Next day

It was rainy, I liked the smell of rain. I wished I wasnt alone by myself.

I Didnt saw shinhye today, I missed her today, I felt so lonely without her. It is so awful to feel alone and have no friend, she must be at the hospital with her mum, her mum suffers from cancer.

"Egghead"

I turned around. It was him.. AGAIN.

I sighed.

He said as he closed his umbrella and came under mine.

"can you lift it up a little bit" he said.

I stared blankly at him.

"The umbrella" he cleared his throat.

"Oh" i held the umbrella higher.

He pulled the umbrella from me. "I will hold it for you"

We walked.. for more than 30 minutes. It felt so good to be with him, I loved his personality, it is completely different from what i thought when I first saw him.

He comforted me.

"Didnt knew you worked at your father's company" I said.

"Did david told you?" He sighed. "Well, I am actually forced by my dad"

While we were walking suddenly some guy pumped into me and his coffe all spit over me!

I gasped.

"What the hell are you blind?" Tan yelled at the guy as he quickly touched my shoulder. "Are you okay Emily?"

"Meyanhaeyo" the guy apologized to me in korean.

"Ka!" Tan yelled at him. (It means go)

The guy walked away quickly.

He looked at me again. "Take off your jacket it is all dirty"

"No its okay" I said.

He took off my jacket and held it. "Wear mine for now" he said as he took off his jacket.

"Tan it is really okay with me, you do-"

He interrupted me. "Just wear it" he said as he hand it to me.

I took it and wear it. "Thank you"

As the rain stopped we sat on a bench outside.

"You'll get cold" I told him.

"You know you're the most stubborn girl i have ever seen?" He said. "I am not cold at all, okay?"

I smiled and looked away.

"Thank you Tan" I said without looking at him.

"You're pretty" he said in a warm tone.

I looked at him. Not knowing what to say.

He was still looking at me. It happened for more than a minute.

I looked up at the sky trying to break the ice. "I heard it rains a lot in korea."

"Yeah, in summer, winter and spring. All the time" he said without stopping looking at me.

I looked at him. "What?"

He sighed and stood up. "I'll take you home."

"Why?!" I quickly said. "I mean.. its okay I can go by myself"

"i insist" he said.

Suddenly a girl appeared in front of us.

"Tanyyy" she said as she hugged him.

"Oh" he didny hug her back, it looked like he was annoyed. He pushed her slowly back.

She glared at me and then looked back at him"dogo?"

"She's my new friend." He said sounding not happy.

"You must be from a foreign country" she said to me.

"Yeah" I answered.

"You know he's my fiancée, right?" She raised one eyebrow.

What?! He didnt even tell me!

"Yaa!" He raised his voice.

"Mwuh?" She said to him. It means why

He grabbed my wrist and walked away.

"Are you out of your mind?" I said trying to let my hand go off him.

He stopped and turned to face me. "She's lying."

"What? Then why did she said that?" I asked curiously. "And why did you walk away if she's lying?"

"I used to date her and she didnt get over me yet" he explained. "And I walked away because she so annoying and she keeps talking shit whenever she sees me with another girl"

I was curious on why they broke up but I stayed silent.

I slowly pulled my hand from his grab. "Anyway, I will go home."

"I said i will ta-"

"Thank you but i'll go by myself" I said as I walked away.
