The night was alive, the wind was making the trees sway, far-off moans of the zombies moved threw the vally, the girls were sitting by the roaring fire, content.

Penny was looking at the sky - she missed her parents dearly.

Dana was watching the fire, her real personally hidden from the world, at least her parents were dead - call it a one-in-a-millon thing but Dana had did it . . . killed them - they were abuseive drunks and she hadn't mean to - she didn't know they couldn't stand high amonts of salt . . .

Jessie had stopped crying and was watching the vally, not thinking about anything - it was a trailt of hers that she loved dearly but others hated.

The girls were not fighting, the first in many months, they were content and happy in the vally, and none wanted to leave - but the zombies would come sooner or later.

Nothing could ruin the moment - not even zombies - everything was perfect.

And Jessie, though it'd kill her to say, was happy the zombies where here - out in the world - because, even though they had ups and downs - she loved her new friends.

Jessie smiled as the wind played with her hair - she loved her friends . . . even Dana to some point, she smiled again.

"What are you happy about?" Dana demanded, as though the thought of Jessie being happy was causeing her pain.

"Nothing!" Jessie cheered, smiling wider went Dana started to glare.

Well, what was friends for?
