A SERIOUS shout out to the lovely and very talented, EmilyKent, who's not only supported The Rose Boys since it began but also made BOTH covers for the stories. I love these kinds of surprises, you totally made my day! If I could make covers, I would but they are always awful.

I also apologize for the late post, my cat Chuck is gone, my friend passed away and I just couldn't seem to make it on here. Thank you so much for your patience, I just want my side-kick back. :(

"I'm not going to see my Dad at BioMetric Labs, it's boring and every time I go he talks about how he wants me to take over the business with his partners like I'm not even there. I just sit in the chair while they talk about me." I said as I slid into the Limo after Emily.

Emily shook her head. "No, James asked that you come to see him so we are going." She looked up at the Driver sitting in the small cab. "Driver, please take us to BioMetric Labs; take Princeton until you hit Columbia."

I laughed. "James, can you take us to The Drive?"

James smiled. "Of course."

Emily sat up, her eyebrows high. "Excuse me? Mr. James, we have to go to BioMetric today."

"I'm sorry Lady," James shrugged his broad shoulders as he flipped the switch that brought up the wall that separated the driver from the passengers in the back. "But you're not the one that pays me."

Silence filled the cab as James disappeared from view behind a black window. Emily glared at me from her side of the vehicle. "Are you serious? Where are we going?"

"I can't say," I grinned. "We're going on a secret mission."

"No," Emily shook her head. "A mission implies that we are going somewhere with purpose. Everything you do has no purpose."

I laughed. "Is that what you think?"

Emily raised an eyebrow. "It's not something I think, it's something I know."

"Do you always get so sulky when things don't go your way?" I teased, leaning back in my seat as the car took a slow turn at a busy set of lights.

Emily stared out the window, I could imagine her big, brown eyes with that angry sort of fire in them. "Don't make fun of me."

I was shocked. "No witty come back? Isn't that what I pay you for?"

She sighed. "Nick, I thought we already established that your Father is the one that pays me. What I didn't realize when I accepted the job was that I would be doing a lot of baby sitting."

I shrugged my shoulders. "From what I hear, you're making tons of money, so what's a few hours out of your day?"

"Do you even know what my job specifics are?" She turned to face me, frowning. "You might have a wonderful social life filled with clubs, outings and vacations but my job is to run around after you and make sure you don't do anything that might hurt your Father's reputation. Do you have any idea how hard it is to do that? You're a psychopath."

"Oh, you don't mean that."

"I'm starting to think that I do." Emily growled, her eyebrows furrowed. "You don't seem to understand how hard my job is. I don't think that you'd be able to keep up if the positions were reversed."

"Oh, we'll see about that, won't we?"

The Limo pulled up to the all too familiar large, black building. It's front void of any windows or signs. It was basically a large, cement square with a door in the middle of an industrial complex. Not a spot of spray paint touched it's surface, this building was much more than it seemed.
