We drove 434 miles. Plus few riding in circles listening to Siri misdirecting us.

He was anxious. It was his first time as family holiday host.

Things hadn't gotten off to such a good start. His mother in law had been admitted to the hospital the evening before. Which meant that his wife wouldn't be there. So when finally arrived, I could see the relief in his eyes. All of his family was safely there.

So proud I am of my nephew. We aren't many. But we are closely very bonded. We love each other unconditionally. He was displaying his life's unconditional love not only for us. He had not only married his wife. He had married our families together. It is always good to see the family ideals were alive and well in his marital union. Mother would be proud of her grandson.

It is worth an eight hour one way drive to share the holiday with him and his new family.

To affirm that we are a true family.

To represent his family values.

To fellowship with our extended family.

He has grown up well. I have no doubt that should God bless them with children, those children will be loved, cared for and raised to continue our family values.
