It was a normal Summer day in Death City, Nevada. Today, there was a Pet Show in the park. There were all kinds of pets that could be seen everywhere. Over by an Oak Tree, you could see a young boy training a small, white dog with red eyes.
"Okay Soul, roll over." The boy commanded, holding up a treat for Soul.
Soul did so. The boy tossed the treat up, and Soul jumped high in the air, and caught the treat.
"Good boy Soul!" The boy said, giggling. Soul barked in response.
The boy and Soul then heard giggling. They turned around and saw a girl holding a small, ash-blonde bunny that has a red bow on each ear and emerald green eyes.
"I like your dog." The girl said, blushing.
"Thanks. I like you too." It was the boy's turn to blush. "I-I m-mean your rabbit! I l-like y-your rabbit." The boy stuttered.
The girl just giggled at this. She then sat her bunny down and walked over to the boy. Her bunny then hopped over to Soul.
"Hi." She said.
"Hey."Soul replied. "What's your name?"
"Maka."
"So, are you new around here?" He asks.
"Yes." She replies. "My owners just moved here last week. How did you know?"
"I know every pet in this town, and I've never seen you before."
"Oh Soul~!" A feminine voice called. Soul and Maka turned their heads to see a red fox kit running towards them.
"Oh no." Soul said.
"What?" Maka asked curiously. Before Soul could answer, the fox was already next to him.
"Hey Soul~." She said slyly.
Soul sighed. "Hey Cherry." He said unemotionally.
Cherry looked at Maka, and narrowed her eyes. "Um, Soul? Who is this?"
"Cherry, this is Maka. Her owners moved her last week so she's new here." He said.
"Cherry!" Cherry's owner called.
"Aww. I gotta go." She started walking away, but then she looked back at Soul and gave a wink. "Bye Soul~." She then sent Maka a small glare before walking away to her owner.
"Soul, who was that?" Maka asks.
"Cherry." He replied. "She's a preppy, pampered, princess fox, and ever since we were tied for first place in last years pet show, she thinks we're dating."
"Is that why she was glaring at me?" Maka asked, cutely tilting her head.
Soul nodded.
"Hey Soul!" A voice called. They looked up in the Oak Tree and saw a little, blue monkey with a black star on it's chest.
"Hey, BlackStar!" Soul said with his tail wagging.
"Hello Soul." Said a little doe.
"Tsubaki!"
"Good day/Hi Soul."Says three voices; a black cat with three white stripes on his left ear, and two squirrels, one with brown fur, and the other with blonde-ish fur.
"Kid! Liz! Patty!"
