~Present~
"Cas how did you even get stuck saving my ass from hell?" Dean asked as he sat down across from me.
Sam nodded and walked over "Yeah I've been kinda wondering the same thing."
I sighed and closed the computer that Sam was letting me use. "I was hoping you two wouldn't ask me. But--"
Dean waved his hand "If it's too personal or anything you don't have to tell us man."
I shook my head "No Dean you out of all of us deserve to know how I was chosen to save you." I looked around for a moment in thought. "I supposed it started when i was summoned to see Micheal."
~Past~
I looked around the room that I had been called to. Micheal had called on me for a unknown reason. I was hoping i had not angered him, that would most likely lead to my death.
"Castiel, I was hoping you would come."
I turned to face my brother but not before bowing before him. He may be my brother but he was still and Archangel and my higher up.
"Micheal, I am wondering why you called to meet with me, and not one of the other more cap--"
"Don't Castiel, I called upon you because the others egos are too inflamed to handle this task."
I lowered my head "Oh" I was more or less known as the errand boy. "Is there something you would like me to do brother?"
"Yes, you've heard of my vessel Dean Winchester, correct?"
"Yes everyone has heard of him. I have heard he is quite the handful to keep safe."
Micheal rolled his eyes "You are correct, it is quite a task." He walked over to the window and looked out of it "You see he has gotten himself into some trouble. He sold his soul to being his brother back to life. And now he is"
"Stuck in hell?"
"Correct, now the reason I called you in is because you are the only one I can think of that will take this job seriously. I need you go raise his from hell. And after you're done I need you to whats the word?" He snapped his fingers a few times "Ah I need you to replenish his soul."
"Replenish?"
"Fix it up a bit, don't be afraid to share a little of your grace with him, it won't hurt him much. It might just do him some good actually. It will help make his body and soul stronger for when I require him as a vessel!"
I nodded "Yes of course. but first I have to ask, am I doing this alone?"
He looked at me a bit shaken "Why in our father's name would you think I would send you alone!?"
I looked at the ground "I have had to rescue a vessel from hell once before on my own, so that is why I am ask--"
"Do not fear Castiel, you will have an army under your command. Uriel will be stationed under you as well. Now do not let me down."
~Present~
"I believe that is pretty much how it went."
"Wait" Sam stood "Who else did you rescue from hell?"
"Oh Raguel his vessels have always been drawn to gambling. But he wasn't the one who made me save his vessel. That was Uriel who made me do it."
Dean sighed "Was he always such a douche?"
I nodded and laughed "Yes I believe he was actually."
