Castiel's P.O.V.

It was nearing a holiday that humans called Christmas. Sam told me that he and Dean didn't celebrate it because it brought up bad memories.

The reason I'm interested in the holiday is because I'm told it's one of the most romantic holidays of the year. I wouldn't understand romance but I wish to know why it's romantic.

Sam I don't think is the best person to ask about this, he tends to get embarrassed when I ask him certain things, so I will instead ask Dean. I will ask him after our next hunt.

~le time skipy~

It was after Dean and mine's hunt. It had not gone quite as planned. Dean had almost been hurt. Causing Sam to yell at him resulting in them fighting and Sam asking if he could take my car. So i was now riding with Dean in a rather awkward silence.

Dean sighed and turned on the radio. A Christmas song was playing. Dean looked at the radio in disgust.

"Come on, Mariah Carey really?"

I looked at him and tilted my head in confusion "Who?"

He sighed "Maria Carey? All I want for Christmas is you? Really Cas I'm surprised you haven't had to listen to it at least once."

I shrugged "I don't know how to change the radio in my car."

Dean snorted "I'm even more surprised that your cars radio works."

I sighed, Dean liked to pick on my car. I'm not sure why though.  He hadn't changed the radio station from 'Mariah Carey' yet. Which made me wonder if he actually enjoyed Christmas music.

"Speaking of Christmas, Dean what is Christmas about?"

He looked at me and ran a hand through his hair and sighed "It's a stupid holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ but most people just use it as an excuse to give each other gifts."

"I see, also one more question."

"Shoot"

"Why is it said to be one of the most romantic holidays?"

Dean shrugged "Hell if I know, I guess because of the mistletoe and the gift giving. Who knows."

As Dean finished speaking I noticed that it had started snowing outside. The snow was rather pretty in contrast to the dark road we were driving on.

"Shit we better get off the road. The roads will be icy." He drove for a bit more till he spotted a motel. He pulled into the parking lot. "Hey call Sam and tell him we stopped for the night. I'll go get us rooms."

I nodded as he got out of the car. I followed his example and took out my cell phone.

It rang twice before Sam picked up "Winchester Accounting"

"Sam it's me"

"Oh Cas what's up?"

"Dean didn't want to drive because the roads might be icy so we stopped at a motel."

"Okay, whatever. I'm half-way to the bunker. I'll call if the snow hits me. Bye"

"Goodbye."

He hung up and Dean walked out of the central office looking angry.

"What's the matter Dean?"

"They only have on room with a single queens bed. And we can't go anywhere  else because of the roads!"

"Dean I am fine sleeping on the floor if it helps the situation."

He sighed and pinched the bridge "Okay, I'll go get the room key stay here."

He went back to the office in a hurry.

I looked at the sky as the continued to fall. It seemed to be getting heavier.

Dean soon walked towards me with a key in hand.

He got some of his things from the back of the car.

"It's friggen cold!"

When we got into the motel room I tired to turn on the lights and noticed they didn't turn on.

"Dean I believe we have no electricity."

He sighed and said "Marry friggen Christmas!"
