CHAPTER II

Natasha’s POV

”I’m sorry po, I’m late.” He told to our prof.

I knew that voice, it was familiar. That voice was the music to my ears, well it used to be

I looked at the door and, I saw him. I knew it.

Anak ng tokwa. WHY? Bakit sa lahat ng taong magiging classmate ko, siya pa. Wait, same course and year pala kami. No wonder kung bakit mag-kaklase kami. But seriously, Fate, are you playing with us?

Nagka-tinginan kaming dalawa. I looked at him, that chinky eyes, his kissable lips…

”Mr. Fortuna? Am I right?” Ahhh thank you Ma’am from saving me sa mga thoughts ko. What the hell am I thinking?

”Yes po.”

”Well, Mr. Fortuna, being part of the basketball team of this prestigious university. It doesn’t mean that you can be late. I hope you understand on what I’m saying to you. Okay?” Our professor told him that.

”Opo, I understand. I’m sorry po talaga.” He answered politely.

"Oh well, you may take your seat.”

Tumayo ang prof namin to write something on the board. And he's still standing there.

"Uhmm, excuse me po ma'am, wala na po kasing vacant na seat ehh." He told to our prof with matching kamot sa ulo.

I looked around, puno na ang room at taken na lahat ng seat except… sa tabi ko.

Shit.” I quietly cussed.  It’s not a ladylike to curse, but whatever.

Bakit sa tabi ko pa? Di pa ba sapat yung same class?? Oh tadhana, bakit?

Our prof looked around our room and ayon nga, nakita yung vacant seat sa tabi ko.

"You can sit there, beside that lady” Sabi ni Ma’am sa kanya.

And then nag-lakad na siya papunta sa akin.. I mean sa seat niya.

Nung nasa gilid ko na siya, nagkatinginan kami. Mukhang na nagulat siya.. Awkward. But I looked away immediately.

He looked at the board and after that he took out an index card and a pen from his bag. Wow, himala, boyscout siya ngayon. Dati lagi siyang naka asa sa akin for that.. Why do I even bother remembering those things? Hay nako.

Our professor reminded us that she’ll gave our syllabus next meeting and a few reminders about our class.

"That’s all for today, Goodbye class. See you next meeting.” She told us while walking towards the door.
