We were still watching t.v. until my phone rang. I went into the formal dining room to talk to who ever was calling me.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Hi Liz, how are you doing?" My mom asked.

"Fine," I responded.

"Well how was the first day of school?"

"Fine?" I dragged out longer than normal. 'Where is she going with this conversation?'

"Okay. I just wanted to see how you were doing and to tell you your dad and I will not be back tomorrow. We're staying for the entire month on the business trip."

"Okay." I said sadly, and then the line went dead. Wow, love you too.

I turn around to go back and watch tv, but right behind me was Lois. I squeaked a little at the closeness and jumped back. When did they get back?

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you," Lois said apologetically.

I place my hand over my chest and release a stressed breath as I said it was okay. Her eyes knitted together with a concerned look on them. "What's wrong, sweetie pie?"

"N-nothing, " I said quickly and walked around her with my head down. 'I can't tell them. They might tell child services. I can't go to a foster home, I can't.'

I walked into the kitchen to get hit with the smell of pizza. Ugh. Damn I need to go get my pills. I placed my phone on the counter top and told Jared and Andrew I would be back.

I ran up the stairs and to the last door on the left. I opened the door and went through my bag. I saw my little medicine box and grabbed it.

When I returned to the kitchen, they were all sitting at the island and I joined them. There was a water bottle for me so I grabbed it and opened it. I took out the orange bottle.

"What's that?" Andrew asked.

I looked at him and said, "These are pills that allow me to eat dairy since I'm lactose intolerant. "

"You are?" His eyebrows raised a little.

I nodded stiffly, took the pill dry and drank some water. We began eating the pizza which was heaven! It was so cheesy and the crust was thin, not thick, and it wasn't greasy! I love pizza like that.

"So what movie do we want to watch?" Jared asked.

"I know!" Andrew screamed. I kind of scooted away from him since I sat next to him and he was hurting my ears. I have gotten myself a loud friend. Lol. "We should watch... The Conjuring!"

I looked at him with a confused expression. "What's that?" He looked at me with a wicked smile. My face went pale.

"It's a scary movie, isn't it?" Fear laced in my question. He slowly nodded. "This calls for movie in the bedroom!" He threw his fist in the air. Oh no! I'm dead. My head made a little thump on the counter top as everyone laughed a little.

Lois's POV

After dinner, the kids got changed into their pajamas. I saw that Angela had left her medicine box on the island, and I looked through it quickly. She had her pills for being lactose intolerant and her epipen, but she also had her enhaler. She had asthma. Plus, she had a depressent drug. She must get anxiety attacks? I guessed. I'll have to ask her once she gets used to us more.

I carried the box with me up to the room as Jared got the popcorn and soda. When I got to the room, I placed it on my side of the nightstand and got ready for the movie. I walked out of the bathroom right when the two of them ran into the room and jumped on the bed.
