---Alex POV

I glanced down at Jessica as she pouted her lips at me. I rolled my eyes and she only forced her lips out further. Chucking, I continued to get dressed in my black satin dress pants and white button up. I left the top two buttons opened and sighed.

"Do you have to go?" she whined.

"As much as I'd like to stay, I still have to collect my suit for the wedding and drop off some work at the office." I told her. She sat up and the covers fell revealing half of her naked body. I quickly looked down and I could hear her giggling at me.

"Do you really have to go?" she crawled over to me, kneeling and running a hand down my chest. As much as it pained me, I had to leave. If I didn't, all the work would pile up and the last thing I needed was to miss Rachel's wedding. I leaned down and gave her a simple but sensuous kiss and grabbed the briefcase at my feet.

"I'll be back soon babe; besides, you need to head over to Ashley's anyways to get ready." She frowned at me.

"I almost forgot about that." I rolled my eyes, Jessica was so scatterbrained sometimes.

"Sometimes I wonder about you Jess." I kissed her lips one last time before leaving and heading down to the parking lot.

I really didn't have that much to do today but I wanted to make sure I had everything covered so I could spend as much time as possible with Jessica. Since we've both been working it has been a bit harder to spend time together than when she was home. Before, I usually came home to dinner at about 9pm. Now sometimes when I get home, she still isn't there. I respect and am happy that she found something that she loves and enjoys but as great as that is I miss her. The fact that things have also been so tense between us really doesn't help.

I understand she doesn't like the fact that Alison works with me; in fact no one does. All of a sudden my dad calls the office to check up on me and remind me to check bank accounts and receipts. I rolled my eyes as I parked the car and headed to the building. Deciding to check up on Mel, I pressed the button on the elevator arriving on the third floor. When I arrived, I was welcomed by soft, peaceful music. I glanced around at all the hired designers were working and sketching their ideas intently. Some of them were really good. I can already tell having the Fashion department is going to be extremely profitable. I chuckled, my grandfather would be so proud at the person I've become. This is exactly what he wanted; someone to govern his business. But he got three persons instead and I must say my father, brother and I make a good team.

I approached the door with the sign "Chief Designer" hung in front and pushed it open. There, I met Melanie chatting away on the phone. I walked over and gave her a peck on the forehead before plopping myself down in one of the chairs on the opposite side of the desk.

"Yes-Well we're working very hard to get you some samples as soon as possible Jeraldo." She put up her index finger, indicating that she'll only be a minute.

"It will be a pleasure working with you to bring this clothing line out. Mhm, bye." She hung up with a grin.

"Woooow, little miss Chief Designer is already getting big phone calls." I said dramatically. She rolled her eyes and leaned on her elbows.

"It's only been a day and I'm already tired." She sighed. I chuckled,

"You asked for it Mel, don't tell me you cant handle it." She smirked at me;
