Jane awoke in the hospital, her parents there.. Well, her mum, at least. She looked around the white room a little confused, her mum looking at her with a happy but worried smile.

"I thought you were dead," she mumbled, running towards Jane. She sat up, but there was a pain on her back - she could not describe it, it was her hurting too much. As she talked with her mum about her dream, she felt more confused and dizzy. That night, she went home cuddling Ann. Ann had been crying for the last hour or so. The walk home was not as bad as expected. Ann was quiet, it was a beautiful night, and her mum was happier than usual. When they got home they had a dinner of sausages and mash. Her dad was still looking at The Sun. After dinner Jane went to bed and fell asleep as quick as a jet, as she fell into the black abyss of dream.

The street outside her house was darker than usual, but there was a girl, looking sad and desperate.

"Hello," the girl said looking up her appearance tatty and worn out, eyes red and beastly and on her head a pair of horns. Jane tried to answer, but she couldn't. It was like she was not there... just watching.

"Jane are you there? I am coming for you, to see you. How's your family, does your dad still hate me? Your dad will be the next one Jane, I advise you don't go saving people, STAY WHERE YOU ARE!"

Jane sat up, sweaty and breathing hard. She looked around her covers of her bed, thank god that was a dream, she thought as she tried to go back to bed, but every time she did, that same dream kept popping up, that same message...

The morning came and it was a typical rainy morning. Jane got out of her bed and went down-stairs. When she got to the bottom of the stairs her mum was still asleep. Ann was crying in her high chair and most weirdest of all her dad was reading the Times! As she gazed in amazement something even weirder came up - her dad started talking to her nicely.

"Hello dear, did you have a nice sleep? Your mum was going out for the day with Ann, so I thought we could go to the park or something?"

"Dad are you okay? Did you see something or I don't know, but are you ok?"

"Yes I am fine but I do need to talk to you....in private..."

Just then mum came down tired and worn out. She went and started getting ready and trying to calm Ann down. Her dad still looking up at her. Then mum turned around again.

"Sweetie, Jane.. Ann and I are just going out to the hospital for the day....."

Her face fell as she looked at Dad.

" Look after your dad.. last night he was screaming like he was in agony..."

As she said that, she turned and walked out of the door.

"Hehem.."

Her dad had now a worried look on his face, and Jane gave him a questioning look.

"Don't worry, I will tell you when we get back. Now then let's go to the park."

Jane raced upstairs to get dressed. She pulled on her black lacy dress, did up her hair in a high ponytail, and then raced back down the stairs. She pulled on her white converse, quickly tying up the laces before heading out the door, where her dad was waiting there for her.
