"Lily get your ass down here or your going to miss graduation" ahh gotta love aubree. Aubree and I have been friends forever. Shes sweet and shes real not fake.
"Shut it bree. I'm coming so take a chill pill." i called from the top of the stairs as I slipped on my cowboy boots.
"Lily are you really wearing cowboy boots?? Why can't you just wear heels this one time? " Aubree said as she stood at the bottom of the stairs looking at me.
"Aubree your lucky you got me to wear a dress. I also want to get through graduation without falling on my face!" I was wearing a light pink knee length dress, It was strapless with a heart neckline. Dont get me wrong it was a cute dress but I hate dresses.
Most of the time I refuse to wear them but Aubree made me.
I was happy that I got to wear my lucky cowboy boots though. Yes they are a little worn but it makes them all that more special.
I grabbed my graduation cap and gown as Aubree and I walked out to my pick up truck.
"ready to graduate Lil?" Aubree said as she hopped into the passenger side.
"I'm just ready to be done with the fakes" I said under my breath as I chuckled to myself.
"Come on Lil their not all bad" Aubree said looking at me. Aubree was gorgeous. She had beautiful auburn hair that was always soft and shiny. Her eyes were an emerald green and they always sparkled. It was no surprise that she had many guys chasing after her.
"whatever you say bree" I rolled my eyes and turned the radio on to my favorite country station.
My favorite country artist Kenny Chesney blasted on the speakers. I smiled as I sang along. I really love singing it just makes me so happy.
I pulled into the parking lot of our small town high school and parked my pick up in the spot reserved for the graduating seniors.
Our parents were supposed to meet us at our graduation ceremony. Right now were going to our rehearsals. Aubree and I walk into the gym thats set up for the graduating class of 2013.
All the fake bimbos stare at me and giggle and whisper harsh words under their breath. I just roll my eyes and walk over to a group of my guy friends.
Its not like I wasnt used to all the rude comments. Aubree went over to her other group of girly friends. I have no clue how she can stand them.
"Dont let them get to you Lils. I think you look great!" Chris my blonde haired blue eyed friend said as he wraped his arm around my shoulder.
I removed his arm as I glared at him. "shut up chris. You know I dont care what they think. Also stop trying to hit on me its getting old and it will never happen. The blonde bimbos over there seem more interested" I pointed over to a sickeningly fake group of girls who were glaring at my closeness to the football star who currently had his arm drapped around me.
The rest of the group of guys burst out laughing and smirked at my clever words toward chris's flirting.
"wow your even more fiesty then usual Lil. Graduation got you on edge?" Eric the brown haired guy said.
"No I just dont appreciate being hit on by any of you. So let this be a warning to all of you." I said as I glared at the rest of the group.
They just chuckled as they all came to hug me.
"Ah we sure do love you lil. Your truly one of a kind" They all said as I tried to push them off me.
"Get off me. you guys are a bunch of fucking weirdos" A teacher glared at me from across the room at my choice of language.
Like I gave a fuck about that after tonight I'm outa this school for good.
They announced that it was time for rehearsals to start. We all lined up in alphabetical order.
The whole thing passed way too slow and was very boring. The thought of having to go through this again made me want to scream.
~2 hours later~
I've been siting here forever just waiting for them to call my name. They were only a couple people away from me. Hurry up already I'm ready to get out of here.
"Lily Nelson" The teacher said as my name echoed around the gymnasium. Finally took long enough.
I made my way up to the small temporary stage set up for this event.
I wish we could have had graduation outside but ot would have been to hot and not enough seating.
I walk on stage and do the whole grab diploma, shake the hand and switch the tassel thing. Finally I'm FREE!!!
I went back to my seat and sat through the rest of the ceremony. Blah blah this blah blah that ect.
As soon as they announced us as the graduating class of 2013 I walked over to meet my parents.
"RICH!!!!!" I ran into my older brothers arms and hugged him.
I haven't seen him in months because he was away at college. He chuckled as he hugged me back.
"Congrats on graduating Lils." He said as he let me down.
"I didnt know you were going to be here Rich. Hows college? Hows Jayme?" I had so many questions to ask my brother.
He and I were always really close. I have looked up to him. I really hated that we never saw eachother anymore.
"Haha everything is good Lil. I missed you too." After Rich and I had a short catch up my parents took pictures of my friends and I.
"Hey Lil are you coming to the party at Erics?" Aubree asked as we stood in a group with the rest of the guys.
"Um sure when does it start?" I askes as I turned in Erics direction.
"We can all head over now. It dosnt really start for another two hours but we can just hang till then" Eric spoke to the whole group as we nodded our heads in agreement.
"PARTY TIME!!!!" Chris shouted throwing his arms in the air causing the rest of the group to laugh.
"Okay weirdos lets get going" I said to my group of friends.
Chris went and grabbed Rich to come too seeing as they are really good friends.
We all got in our rides to the party. Aubree slid into the passenger side of my pick up truck as Rich hoped into the back.
The drive to Erics house didnt take long. I knew how to get there fast due to how familiar the area was to me.
"I cant believe we just graduated" Aubree said as we hoped out of the truck and made our way go Erics families ranch.
"My little sis and all her friends are finally grown up" Rich said as we walked. I playfully punched his arm.
This is exactly how I imagined feeling after graduation. I felt Free and it was amazing.

so that is the first chapter of Ride. I'm loving wrighting it. I couldnt sleep so I finished the chapter so I could post it. Summer break is almost here for me so you wont have to wait long for updates.
