Here I am. A baby, just born. I was looking up at the doctors face then at my dads. I didn't see my mums at all. I only saw my dads for a bit until I was handed over into the adoptive section of the hospital then straight away put in a car with two other babies to the adoptive centre, in Sydney. I was crying and so were the other babies. I looked out the window and saw Bright Lights. That's where my story begins.

1st December 2015

I look up. But this time at my ceiling and smile. Today was my birthday and at 4:27am today I turned, 16. I quickly jump out of bed, slide on my Winnie The Pooh slippers and walk out of my room. I turn down the hallway into the living room where my parents are. "Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday, dear Emily! Happy Birthday to yoooooooou! Hip hip hooray! Hip hip hooray! Hip hip hoorayyyyyy! My mum screams the last note. "Thanks mum and dad but I'm going to be late for school." I hug them then run back to my room and open my wardrobe.

Ugh wardrobe, we meet again. I stare at all my clothes then start the typical girls routine... "I have nothing to wear!" I say loudly while throwing myself onto my bed. My eyes fixated on the roof I remembered yesterday arvo I bought an awesome new jumpsuit. "Where is it?" I ask myself aloud. "Ahhh, where did I put it?!" I shout while rummaging through my wardrobe to find it. "Ughhhhh." I moan then remember I put it in the wash yesterday after I got it because I don't feel comfortable wearing things that are brand new. I know it's weird. I stand up and run to the washing room, pull out my jumpsuit and to find that it's still wet. "OH MY GOD SERIOUSLY!" I scream while quickly turning the dryer on. I stick it in the dryer and turn it on quick dry. I walk back to my room and decide to do my makeup while I wait.
I sit down at the bottom of my mirror, cross my legs and put my hair back in a messy bun. "Ok what look today?" I ask myself. I am looking at my self thinking of what to do. I end up staring at my black hair, bright blue eyes and my pale skin. I hate my hair. I wish I could have pretty brown or blonde hair but my hair isn't even dark brown it's complete black. I let out a sigh then realise how long I've been looking in the mirror for. "Oh CRAP!" I shout loudly. I quickly just get out my makeup bag and apply whatever I can to my face so I look done up. I finish with a bit of nude lipstick then undo my messy bun for...the hair. I hate doing my hair more then makeup. It just doesn't stay in one position or hairdo no matter how much hair product I use. "Far out, what now." I think for a second then braid a fishtail down my hair. My hair is rather long, it goes down to my belly button on my slim body.
I head back to the dryer and get my jumpsuit out. Good it's dry. I walk back to my room, take my pyjamas off, put a bra on then the jumpsuit. I go around my room grabbing my school books and shoving them into my bag. I grab the lipstick I used and put it in too then walk out of my room. I go to the kitchen and grab an apple. "Bye!" I shout just loud enough so my parents can hear. I wait for a response. "Bye birthday girl! Love you!" They shout from their room. I walk out of the door and slam it closed. Off to school.
