I'll Stand By You A Natsu X Reader

Chapter 24 The Power Takes Over.

Your P.O.V 

I feel tears stream down my face, and that is when it happens. My body feels like it is being burnt inside, and I scream out. Natsu suddenly let's me go due to my body temperature rising. I stop screaming, feeling completely different. I stand up, my hair in my face. I laugh non-stop. 

"Mia? You alright?" Erza walks close to me, but Natsu stops her. 

"She has to deal with this herself. She has to fight off the power." He says. It seems like I can't recognize them at all. 

I suddenly feel so powerful, I want to destroy something to see just how powerful I am. I hold out my hands, seeing my skin now red with scales. "Mia? Can you hear me?" Natsu's voice fills my ears. I didn't know I moved, and that I was holding him by his neck. My hand squeezes, and I am not doing it. "I know you can." 

"Shut up! I don't know who you are!" The words fly out of my mouth without me meaning them. "I don't know who I am anymore, either. I can destroy you all, but I can't bring myself to do it." I hiss. 

Natsu smiles. "If you want to kill me, you can. I am not sure what that would do to satisfy you, but if you can do it, I won't stop you." He says. I throw his across the guild. I stay where I am, and I see him stand up. "But, think about me, about our children. What would you do if they weren't here?" He says again. I am next to him again, and I push him into the wall. "Think about the Mia we all know, think about my Mia." He says. Something flickers in my eyes. 

"Natsu?" I whisper. He smiles. 

"That's right, love. Fight it. I know you can." Natsu says. I try and remove my hand, but it won't move. 

"No, Mia! Don't do it! You want this! I know you do!" The words come out of my mouth, and my hand tightens around Natsu's throat without my control. Tears weld up inside my eyes as I try to remove my hand, but it won't budge. I stare into Natsu's eyes, and he is completely calm. "Let him go!" I scream to myself, but the person inside of me doesn't listen. "I know you want this, it has been your desire since the moment you stepped foot in here. I simply cannot let go." The words comes from my mouth, and I have had enough. I use all my strength and power to remove my hand from Natsu's throat, and it works. I am basically fighting myself inside my own body. I stand completely still, my powers fighting each other. One of them is the magic I already had, and the other one is the one Ryuu had. My back arches, and my eyes shoot open. I cannot scream, I cannot bring myself too. 

"Why won't you let me control you?" The voice says, coming from my mouth again. 

"Because," I gasp out. "I have to may people I love here. I simply cannot let you hurt them." I finally use all my strength I have left, and I end up beating the voice and power inside of me. I feel my eyes roll to the the back of my head, my eyes closing. I fall to my knees, gasping out again, but my eyes stay shut. I open them again, looking at the guild ceiling. I then move my head to the side, seeing Natsu stand up. I want to run to him, but I can't move. Instead, he walks to me. I force my arm up to touch his face. "I'm," I whisper. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean those words." 

Natsu nods his head. "I understand, Mia. Now, let's get you home and rested." He picks me up, and heads home with me in his arms. Lucy comes with us, bringing Ryuu and Natsumi. I lay in bed next to Natsu, who is holding me, comforting me with his warmth. I smile. I slip into darkness, and I dream of the life I had before I meet Natsu, Lucy, Gray, Erza, Happy, Carla, Panther Lilly, Gramps, Gajeel, Levy, Wendy, and the others.
