Not what you expected (maybe creepypasta)

Once upon a time, I made you into a cake. I didn't wanna eat you, but I HAD to. It was a shame, really; you were sugary and delicious. I devoured ever last morsel of you until I had finished you down to the last bite. But my hunger could NOT be fulfilled! I spent the next several days, night after night, trying desperately to recreate your sweet, decadent form. After many failed attempts, it was becoming clear to me that I could not. So I built a cloning device that would hopefully restore you into the tasty pastry that you once were. After failing time and time again, I almost gave up trying to bring you back.. However, my extreme desire to consume you once more drove me to spend my waking hours perfecting the machine until I had you just right.
Finally! After all this time, I had at last made you precisely into the deliciousness that you once were! I eagerly plunged my knife into you, cutting off a slice. You appeared so perfect; so pristine with your sweet, white, scrumptious icing. I jabbed my fork into you, opened my mouth, and took the first bite. This was it! This was about as mouth-watering as you were before!
But no.

Something was off. Was it too dry?

No. Too much flour? Too crumbly?

No, in fact, the problem was that the machine gave your clone too much sugar.
That was when I knew it:

It tasted like you, only sweeter.
