Chapter 1

Flashback:

Your POV:

It's been 50 years sense the last time I've eaten a soul and I'm starving again. I walk into a town as I smell around, trying to pick up the scent of a strong soul.

I give up in the town and go into the woods. I stalk from above on a tall tree branch. I run through the trees and stop as I smell it. The smell of a sweet but savory soul.

I jump down and see a girl about the age of 10. She was on her knees crying as I quietly made my way to her. "What's wrong?" I asked as I kneeled down beside her. "T-their gone." She weeped into her hands. "Who? Who's gone?" I asked. "M-my mommy and daddy." She began to sob louder as she buried her face into my chest. "What happened?"" I asked as I had a feeling that I was going to get this soul. "The man. H-he shot them. He took them away from me." She looked up at me with a sad expression. "W-will you help me?"

I smirked at her and took her hand to help her to her feet. "Olivia McElroy. I am a demon. A cat demon of that matter. We can make a contract together and I will be your personal servant and help you seek revenge on the person and/or people who killed your parents. Do you wish to make this contract with me?" I asked as she looked at me with seriousness. "Yes." She stated as she looked me in the eyes.

"We will have a contract seal. The more visible it is, the stronger the contract is. Where would you like it?" She thought for a moment and then smiled. "Put it on my ankle." She stated as she pointed to it. I bowed my head, then bent down to place the seal on her. "Yes. Young mistress." I said as I placed my hand on her ankle. I heard her cry out in pain as I placed the seal onto her. After the seal was placed, she began to fall backwards. I quickly caught her. I brought her someplace safe in the woods and set her down carefully as I awaited my young mistress' awakening.

End of flashback.

~To the present~

Your POV:

Sense then she decided to call me (y/n) (l/n). She always said how much she loved my cat like eyes and that I had cats-like reflexes.

I rode in the carriage with my young mistress as we headed to the phantomhive manner.

   We had a meeting with the earl of phantomhive to discuss business.

I watched the scenery outside the window as we passed by many shops and stands as we went through town. Olivia has always been a happy person. She lived with her aunt and uncle, and they treat her like their own daughter. I was only her servant though. So of course I lived with them as well.

Soon we were at the phantomhive manner. The door opened and a tall handsome butler had his hand held out to help my young mistress and I out of the carriage. But I knew he wasn't just any butler. He was a demon also. Olivia got out first and then I took his hand to get out. I glared at him as if to tell him to stay away from my mistress and he just smirked.

He lead us to the doors to the manner and opened them to reveal the manners beauty. Olivia stared in awe as I looked around. I noticed the nobleman coming down the steps and tapped my young mistress' shoulder. She looked towards the stair case and saw the earl walking down to greet us.

   He did a fake smile. "Hello Lady McElroy." He looked my way smiling and nodded. I bowed my head with my eyes closed them looked back up. "As to you earl phantomhive." Olivia said as a greeting.

   We headed to the earls office and discussed the business about the funtom company.

   I could feel the other demons crimson eyes on me as I listened to their conversation carefully. "(Y/n). Will you go help the earls butler with dinner please?" She asked. "Yes young mistress." I said as I bowed my head then followed the butler out of the office and to the kitchen.

When we got to the kitchen he told me what we were making and I got the ingredients out and began making dishes effortlessly.

"(Y/n) is your name, am I right?" The butler asked as he mixed ingredients. "Yes. You are correct." I said as I continued making dishes.

"Nice to meet you (y/n). I am Sebastian Michaelis, butler of phantomhive manner." He said smiling a closed eyed smile. I smiled back. "I'm (Y/n) (l/n). Personal servant of Olivia McElroy." I was being nice to him but I was also taking defense in case he tried something.

Soon we finished making the food and it was dinner time. Sebastian called his young master and my young mistress to come eat.

The young nobles continued to talk about the funtom company as Sebastian and I set out the dishes. We stood by their sides as they talked and ate.

They soon finished and my young mistress stood up. "(Y/n) and I should get going." She said as I pushed her chair in. "It's getting late. You shouldn't be riding around this late at night. You won't be able to see where you're going." The young earl said as he also stood. "You both should stay here for the night and leave in the morning. Sebastian show them to their rooms." Sebastian bowed to his master and motioned for us to follow.

He showed my young mistress to her room first and then showed me where mine was. "I will be back to bring you and your young mistress' clothing for the night." Sebastian stated as he left.

I left from my room and headed to my young mistress' room.

I knocked and I heard a tired 'come in' from the other side. I opened the door and closed it when I was in. "Young mistress the phantomhive butler is bringing us clothes for the night. I came in here to change you." She nodded and smiled. "Thank you." She said as she sat on her bed stretching.

A few minutes later we hear a knock on the door. "Come in." Says the young mistress. The door opens and Sebastian walks in with two nightgowns. He handed them to me and left the room.

"You guys would be perfect." My young mistress says as she smiles tiredly after I dress her. I smile and laugh under my breath. "Non-sense, young mistress. For a demon cannot feel love." Her eyes go sad. "Aw but it would be wonderful to see you with someone." I laugh again and tell her goodnight as I leave her room.

I walk to my room only to see Sebastian at my door. "Is there anything I could do for you?" I ask. "Well. I only wanted to say goodnight (y/n)." He said with another closed eyed smile.

I smile back. "Well then. Goodnight to you to Sebastian." I say as I open my door and walk in closing the it behind me.

I put the nightgown Sebastian brought for me into the dresser and got out a book from a small bookshelf in the room and read all night.
