I'm pretty sure I already uploaded this about a week ago, but I couldn't seem to find it. So I'll be rewriting it, but it'll be a tad different from the first time.

After about two hours of watching baseball games and beer and gambling, my friends and I decided we wanted to go to the pub. Instead of driving there, we walked; it wasn't that far from my place.

Since we were buzzed, it took us longer than usual to get to the pub. When it should have been only a few minutes, it turned out to be ten. We spent the whole time laughing and joking, causing some eyes on us. But we didn't mind, we were used to all eyes on us.

"Hey, Max! What do ya' say about going to the pub?" One of my good friends, Michael shouted at me, even though we were next to each other. Chuckling, I shook my head.

"Michael, we are going to the pub, you idiot!" Another friend of mine asked. Lance was his name. There was five of us last night. Michael, Lance, Ethan, Rogerson, and I; we've been best friends since I can remember.

Rogerson was the oldest, then I closely followed up. After me was Lance, then Ethan, and Michael was the baby, the youngest of us.

Finally, we arrived at our destination. Because it was nearly midnight, the pub was pretty full. Taking a look around me, I noticed almost all the round tables were filled with people and beer. Guys were in simple jeans and a t-shirt, and girls were in figure-hugging dresses or shorts that was paired with tank tops.

At the far end there was a stage. And at that stage, there was a person I've never seen before. Quickly hitting my friend next to me, who just so happened to be Rogerson, I asked him if he knew her.

"Who?" He questioned. "The girl over there with long hair?" After saying yes, that girl, Rogerson told me what he knew. "I don't know man. I've seen her around at school, but I've never seen her at parties. She's not the girls we hang with." His tone of voice sounded like a warning. How weird, I thought. Rogerson knew everyone, and everyone knew him.

Shaking my head, I decided that I'll forget about her. That tonight was supposed to be just us five and whoever decided to grace us with their presence.

We walked over to a table that could fit us all and sat down. Not long after we did so, a waitress came by in shorts and the tightest pink shirt that was possibly made. After she saw us all, she tried to make her low cut shirt even lower, trying to flash us more of her non-existent boobs. God, Max why are you acting like this? You've never had a problem with that before, what's so different this time? I scolded myself.

"Is there anything you would like to drink, boys?" She tried to sound seductive.

Lance smirked and told her what he wanted. "A beer, Ruby, I'll have a beer." While he said that, he stared at her breasts.

"Same, I'll have a beer as well. As a matter of fact, I think we're all going to have beer, right?" Michael asked us, looking at one of us at a time. After we nodded, Ruby wrote it down on her little notepad and walked away. On her shorts, I observed, said, 'Booty' in cursive.

A group of girls I've probably never seen before came to our table. There was six of them, one went to Lance, one went to Rogerson and so on. The last girl just stood awkwardly a little away from the table, looking uncomfortable. Noticing this, I called her over. "Hey." Her ice-blue eyes widened once she realized I was talking to her. I motioned her over and she walked hesitantly towards me, then stopped as soon as she was in front of me. As she opened her mouth to say something, we were interrupted by someone speaking into the microphone at the stage.

Her.

"Hi guys, uh, I actually will be singing tonight. I'll be singing Coffee and Cigarettes by Michelle Featherstone. Um, yeah," She laughed. "Sorry if I suck, this is my first time singing in front of a crowd. Actually, I don't know why I'm up here, so...yeah." She chuckled nervously as she playfully glared at someone in the crowd. Somewhere in the room, I heard someone whistle at her, which caused her to blush a deep shade of crimson.

A guy started to play the piano on the stage, and not long after, she started to sing. At first, her voice was hesitant and quiet, but once she got more confidant, her voice grew louder. She wasn't too bad at singing, everyone's attention was now on her. Not a sound was made, other than her voice and the piano, nothing else. This song was pretty sad, but her voice. Man her voice was beautiful. Captivating.

Her hazel eyes widened once she realized she had everyone's attention. She nervously played with the hem of her dress, but still, her voice remained strong. Her dress was simple, really. It had spaghetti  straps that connected to each other and made a pattern of its own. A simple black dress. Her brown hair was let loose, as if she wasn't too bothered by it to fix it before she went on stage.

The song ended and people started to clap and whistle. This mystery girl blushed some more, but bowed nevertheless and sent a small smile to the crowd as she did so.

The manager, I'm guessing, went to the middle of the stage and took the microphone from her. "Thank you— uh, hon, what's your name?" He sounded genuinely confused.

"Elizabeth. My name is Elizabeth." She smiled gently.

I woke up with a jolt. My breath was fast and uneven; which caused my chest to rise and fall frantically. I could feel my heart beating hard against my ribcage and sweat stuck to my body, my blanket was tangled around my legs. I looked at the clock on my nightstand that was beside my bed and found out it was goddamn four-twenty-two in the goddamn morning

Alriight, so I'm not quite sure if I like this chapter, but I felt like I needed to update. It's not written that well, but I hope most (if not all) of you guys understand what happened. Elizabeth's dress in the media, and the songs she sings is up there as well. Listen to it while reading, eh?

Comment what you think, yes? Lol
