Imprisoned: chaoter 8

A/N: Hi everyone, I've finally updated! I know I was a little late but for what it's worth, I do hope you like it :)

ADAN:

I can't believe it. The hedge of thorns exists? I thought it was just a legend. Locals often gossiped about it but I never actually thought they were talking the truth. But the thing I can't believe the most is that it happens to be on the way to where Lania lives.

It makes sense I suppose. It's been there for roughly 15 years, which was when I last saw her. But no one knows how it got there. Rumors had said that it was put their by witchcraft, but it just doesn't add up. Why would anyone want to do it?

"Adan I-I swear this is where I came from. This doesn't make any sense!" Lania looked desperately at me, her face gone pale. "Do you believe me?"

I pulled her to me and let my arms wrap around her stiff body."Yes of course I believe you. Its going to be ok." I assured her. Thankfully she didn't think wrong on my actions and slipped her slim arms around my waist.

After her breathing steadied she pulled away,"What are we going to do?"

"It's ok, I know a forest off the side of town that we can pass through and be able to get us to the other side of the hedge. Are you okay to do a bit of walking?"

She nodded slowly with uncertainty still in her eyes.

I picked up her bindle that I had placed down on the ground and shrugged."I've got enough pounds, I can buy a horse for us. I'm sure we could find one somewhere and it'll be quicker if did."

Her face lit up at the mention of a horse and I could tell what she was thinking. Her happy face soon turned shy."No you don't have to. I don't want to be a burden on you than what I already am."

I shook my head and tugged gently on her arm, starting off up the track we came from. "Don't be ridiculous Lania. Your not a burden on me!" I looked at her smiling and she smiled back."I love the company. I can just smell adventure when I'm with you." I'm in love with you. I shook away the painful truth of the thought. I am though. I'm in love with her.

I couldn't tell her though, she'll think I'm mad. As far as she knew, we'd only knew eachother for a day, it was impossible for her to feel the same. For me it was different. It was like I knew her for an eternity, searching every square inch I knew, searching for her and praying that one day I would find her. Maybe I was mad at the thought. When did finding Lania be my main priority in life?

'Ever since she left' a voice said in my mind matter of factly.

I sighed. I was painfully, doubtlessly in love with Lania.

"Don't make me laugh!" She said nudging my arm playfully. "I've had as much adventure as a piece of wood. It's you that has had real adventure, traveling as you have."

"Well I'm getting the feeling that that's going to change soon. Adventure is my middle name," I said trying to keep a straight face. Fortunately I sounded normal, despite the mantle banter I was having with myself only moments before.

Lania giggled and it was like music to my ears."I'm sure it is."

A/N: I'm really sorry- and I know I say I'm sorry a lot- but I'm sorry that this one is EXTREMELY short! I'm just not feeling it, you know?

Anyways, call me crazy but writing isn't the only thing I have in my life, so believe me when I say-once again- IM SORRY!!

Hopefully,well, I'm certain I'll make it up to you all next time I update which should be running on schedule this time.

OOOOH actually how about next time I update, I'll give you a list of names of people who play my characters?! How's that sound? Since I still haven't found out how to add pictures onto Wattpad on my iPad, so I'll just do that, yea?

And then after that I'll go back to normal chapters, which the next one I'm planning on being pretty interesting so brace yourself!
