CHAPTER 5: Remembering

~~~Alfred's POV~~~

I was outside for who knows how long, waiting for Mattie to bring out Arthur and Amelia. I was starting to get freakin' cold standing out here! I had to dance around for a little bit trying to warm up a couple times. I was about to give up and just march right into the house if they took any longer, but when I turned around I finally saw them walking my way. I smiled; seeing them after so long made me extremely happy. When I smiled at them they stopped right in their tracks. I was confused and worried a bit. That changed though when Amelia started running toward me and shouting 'Daddy!' I didn't realize how fast she was coming however and we both went falling into the snow. When Arthur got to us he looked shocked and I couldn't blame him; I'd been gone for 10yrs. We had our reunion and we headed back to the house when it started getting really cold. Once we were all inside Amelia showed me the present Arthur had got her. I'm surprised she already finished building the plane model. It looked totally awesome!!! After we all talked for a bit Arthur finally asked why I'd been gone for so long. I sighed, but I wasn't going to leave anything out. I wanted to tell them everything; the reason I was gone for so long; the reason why I hadn't come to visit them; the reason why I didn't contact them. Oh boy... This might take a while...

~~~10 years earlier~~~

I was playing with Amelia; acting like she was tackling me. I'd dramatically fall down and say "Oh no! I've been hit!" and flail on the floor with her on top of me. She was a laughing mess and that made me laugh even harder. I would sometimes grab her arms and engulf her with my wings, trapping her and giving her a kiss attack all over her face. She'd giggle and squirm all over the place trying to escape. It was so cute!!! Arthur came in the living room after finishing cooking lunch and watched us play.

"Who's winning the match this time?"

"Haha! I think I'm winning this time! Amelia doesn't stand a chance!"

"No daddy! I'm winning! Hehehe!"

"I don't think so!" I started tickling the fire out of Amelia and I might've broken her. She wouldn't stop laughing!

"Hahahahaha!!! Okay! Daddy wins!!! Hehehaha!!!"

"Haha, alright enough. Lunch is ready Amelia."

"Yay!!! Mac 'n cheese!"
