CHAPTER THREE.

*Sophia's POV*

Brunch was nice with Alex, when he left I felt uncomfortable and incomplete.
I felt happy with him, and as soon as he left I walked out of the cafe quite quickly, tears started to fill my eyes.

I didn't even know why I was crying, I knew I would probably never get a chance with him...

I walk to the taxi bay and waited for a taxi, one showed up it was a man in his probably late 20's, he looked extremely drunk.

I cautiously entered the vehicle and bucked my belt, but before I could buckle it up I was thrown backwards at the speed on light, I realised the car was going really fast, I heard sirens, police sirens. And the car swung around and hit a pole.

My vision was blurry but I did see the drunken taxi driver being removed from the car, and hand cuffed.

I went blank, I all could hear was.
"Get her out of the car!, call an ambulance" one of the police officers said

I couldn't move, see or feel anything but I could hear things.

I woke up, in a white and pale blue room. It was a hospital room, I opened my eyes fully only to me
Being blinded by the lights in the room.

I find a button next to my bed and I press it, moments later a nurse came in.

"Are you ok?" She asked
"Yeah I'm ok" I said

"If you need anything feel free to ask" she said
"Ok, can I have a glass of water?" I asked
"Sure" she said

I saw my phone and checked it, it was 5:57pm I've been in the hospital for 7 hours.

It had a message from Alex, I unlocked my phone and went into messages.

The message read:

From Alex:

Hey, do you want to come with me to the beach?
You don't have to I'm just asking...

To Alex:

Sorry I didn't answer I'm in hospital I got into a car crash, but yeah I'd love to what time?

From Alex:

Around 7:00pm?
And are you ok?

To Alex:

I'm fine it's ok I'll meet you at
The Pier at 6:50pm?

From Alex:

Sure see you then.

I put my phone down and the nurse came in with a glass of water.

"When can I leave?" I asked the nurse
"About 20 minutes" she said
"Ok" I said taking a sip of water

20 minutes later I left the hospital and got an über home.
My grandmother wasn't home so I quickly went upstairs and changed I looked in the mirror, I had a cut under my eye and a cut on my chin I put some healing gel on it that I got from the hospital.
I chose my outfit, it was black jeans, grey top and a blue denim jacket.

I get a über to the pier and get there just in time.
