180 days until graduation
**Addies POV**I wake up and look over to the alarm clock beeping on my nightstand. 7:00 1 hour until school starts. I get up go into the bath brush my teeth and then figure out what to wear. Since we live in Storktown I'm lucky enough to not have to wear uniform. I pull out my white lace peplum top and maroon pants. Then I walk over to shoe rack and take out my black buckle pumps. I pull the whole look together with a black bow and some cute accessories. I look at the time 7:15 Lola will be here 7:45 to drive us to school. I decide on a loose side braid and and pink lip. I toss my bag over my shoulder and head outside. I can't wait for it to cool down. It must be around 80 degrees out here. Lola pulls up the street and of course sitting shot gun is Justin. Other than his looks he has nothing going for him. I mean take away his shiny hair and dimples he's just an asshole. I walk up to the car say hi and sit silently the rest of the way to Storktown high school. "I'll meet you in a bit." I tell Lola and rush out to find my schedule.
I was speeding down the hall with little to no care for what I was doing when I ran into him. The him. The one and only him. Derek Hollister. I quickly bent down to help him pick up the stack of clipboards that I made him drop. "I am sooooo sorry. I was just. I don't know. I'm really sorry" I said as I feel my cheeks burn red. He let out a cute laugh and I let out a not so cute awkward one. "Look don't worry about it, ha. I was just on my way to hang up these clipboards for the different clubs and committees. I hope to see you at yearbook again this year and maybe even newspaper." He said with a welcoming grin on his face. "YES!" I said a little too loudly. "I mean I will see you there. Bye." He chuckled and waved.
I was back on my mission. I stepped into the office and saw Rosemary. "Hey Rose" I say still out of breath from my trip here. "Hey Addie, what took you so long you were supposed to be her 5 minutes ago." She states. "I know. Sorry, I ran into Derek in the hallway." I'm finally breathing properly now. Her eyes widen in the realization of what I just said. A smirk creeps across her face. "Stop it." I say. "I don't like him." Yes I do. "I never have" I always have. "Actually, I barely know him" I know every thing about him. She rolls her eyes, smirk still plastered on her face. "Ok, I give up." she says "...for now"
We walk to the desk, give our names and get our schedules. As usual I'm in all honors so I won't have any classes with the girls except for gym with Kayley and art with Lola. On day 1's I'm at lunch by myself but day 2's the four of us have lunch together. We all part ways to our first period classes. I have trigonometry with Mrs. Cripe. She is the absolute worst. She's ancient and so mean. Not to mention she wears the same yellow and green striped sweater everyday. I was hoping I would have any other teacher but I always get stuck with her. As I sit through the dreadful 90 minute class I can't help be let my mind wander off.
My mind immediately goes to the list. What should I work on first definitely not number 11. There is a big back to school party at treys house. I'm not very popular here but I get invited to these things because of Rosemary. She's head cheerleader and dates Trey Farley. Trey is one of the most popular guys in school. He's not that stereotype of the popular guy. He's actually pretty quiet and super sweet. Trey and rose make such a cute couple I wish I had that. But I usually go unnoticed to everyone but the girls. If I didn't know Kayley before hand I would probably be unnoticed to them too. That's it I just have to do something to bring attention to myself. I also have to complete my list. If I do number 5 on my list I can kill two birds with one stone. Oh wow I never realized how awful that saying was. Why would you want to kill one bird let alone two.
Anyways I have decided. Tonight at Treys party I will complete task #5 go streaking. I can't lie I'm extremely nervous but I'm so tired of being the innocent goodie goodie. It's my time to be in the spot light. After school we all headed to Rosemary's hose to get ready. "How was school" Kayley asked. "I'm going streaking" I say and everyone gasped. "That doesn't answer my question" Kayley giggles. "Sorry. It was good. Anyways remember number 5 on my list? It's to go streaking. I'm planning on doing it tonight at treys party. What do you think?" I ask. The three of them burst into laughter. As I watch them I can help but join in. After our laughing fit Lola agrees on the idea. We go into plan mode. Things like this can't simply just be done. You have to make sure everything is just right. You don't want the entire school to see you naked but you need enough to make it matter. We set it for 9:00pm in the back garden where at most 25-30 people will be. It was time to go I slip on my black skater dress and the red stilettos I can barely walk in.
We all pile in to Rosemary's car and head off. Not that I would ever admit it but I hate being in her car. Nothing against the car itself. Actually I'm kinda in love with her car. A simple white Lexus, can't go wrong with that. But Rosemary's driving is the worst in the group. It's not because she's the stereotypical reckless teen. In fact she tries very hard and refuses to turn the radio on because she doesn't want to get distracted. She's just kind of a horrible driver. She barely passed her drivers test after the 4th time. But we all put up with it because she has the best car. My mind wanders off to something else's and as soon as I noticed were at the party.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Hey guys I'm sorry if it was horrible. Short chapter more to come
