Prologue

I'm so late for my class! I'm walking in haste and not even aware of my surroundings.

"Oh My God!" I can't help myself but scream nang may mabangga ako pagliko ko at mawalan ako ng balanse. On instinct napapikit at napayakap ako sa nakabangga ko.

I slowly open my eyes and surprise is an understatement nang makita ko kung sino yung nakabangga ko.

The campus prince.

A playboy and certified heartbreaker.

I can't help myself but mesmerized by his expressive eyes and kissable lips. He's so unbelievably handsome.

I frowned when I came back to my senses and noticed the slight irritation on his eyes.

Where was the teasing and playful Adien she used to hear about?

"Finished checking me out? Can you let go now?" He asked, there was a touch of sarcasm in his tone.

"I didn't mean this to happen." Defensive kong sabi dito habang nagmamadali kong inalis yung kamay ko na nakayakap sa braso nito. I can feel myself blushing.

"Honey, you studied my face like a love sick puppy." Adien said, raising his eyebrow and lips clenched in boredom.

Oh My God! Bakit ba pinuri puri ko pa tong lalaki nato. Halatang hindi na to nakatapak sa lupa sa kayabangan.

"So what if you're inhumanly handsome, it doesn't give you the right to act like a jerk!" Naiinis kong sabi dito.

Napahawak ako sa bibig ko sa pagkabigla pagkatapos kong ma-realize kung ano yung nasabi ko dito.

Shit!

Bakit ang clumsy ng bibig ko. Tamang bang i-voice out yon. Really Embry? Inhumanly handsome? Ite-tape ko talaga mamaya tong bibig ko.

Darn it!

"Inhumanly handsome?" He teased me and laughed softly in amusement.

This fucking jerk! He's making fun of me.

"I need to go. I'm late for my class. " I didn't meet his gaze at tumalikod na ako dito. I need to get out of here as soon as possible.

"Wait!" Habol na sabi sakin ni Adien, hindi pa ako gaanong nakakalayo mula dito.

Hindi ako lumingon at nagpatuloy lang ako sa paglalakad but he suddenly grabbed my arm.

Dahil hindi ko ina-anticipate yung ginawa ni Adien, I lost my balance and then for the second time around Adien caught me.

"What's your problem??" Asik kong tanong dito habang tinitignan ko to nang matalim.

"Hey relax kitten. I just saved you from a bad fall. Ikaw pa tong galit?" He asked, there's an amused smile playing on his lips.

I drew a deep breath bago pa ako makapagsalita ulit nagsalita na ulit si Adien. "I just wanted to say nice cheering outfit and nice legs." He smiled wickedly at iniwan na ako nitong namumula at nakatanga sa sinabi nito.
