I turn around to my Mum and Dad running, their faces flushed and red.
" Are you alright, they broadcasted the whole thing live!", Mum looks as though she might collapse, as she pulls into a hug.
" I'm fine, I just want to be alone, I'm sorry".
Dad holds my Mum back, I hear him telling her to let me go. Almost like he understands, but he doesn't.I run, I run until tears begin to fall down my cheeks. I run until, I see my home, my room.
The bed sinks to my shape, I grab the pillow and just cry. But I honestly don't know why, am I crying because of Regan or the attack. My feel my eyelids close lightly, my breaths more even. Soon I'm asleep.
I look around, it is dark and cold night. The fields are silent, the odd bird in the distance.
I hear the crunch of footsteps, Regan stands next to me, he looks different. I can't seem to put my finger on it, but he is different.
'We have to get away, let's runaway. Let the road determine where we run, Come on!'
Regan runs, off into the distance. I can't keep up, soon I can't see where he has gone.
I turn to the sound of yet more footsteps, this time their more paw prints.
I can't see the animal but it lunges at me, it's claws digging into my shoulders. Pinning me to the ground, it digs further and further. It's yellow eyes staring doing into me, I try push it off kick its black, fur body.
As I'm running, I see the strange sight of a river. I dive in and blood colours the water. I am rigid from the pain, an arm covers my mouth and pushes me under water. I struggle, I kick, I bite but all I can hear is a deep laugh. Regan. He pulls me up one last time, then with all his force he pushes me down to the bottom of the river.
My body jerks in the cold fold able chair, " Your test is complete".I scream awake, it was not a dream, it was my test.
