The flight to Tokyo was very long and boring. It took a day and a half to get here.
The airport was so much different than the airports back home. I couldn't understand what any of the signs said. After a couple minutes of wandering around I found the baggage claim. It didn't take me that long to find my bag, after all it was the only electric blue Duffel bad here. After grabbing my Duffel I walked outside because it was way to crowded in there.
I found bench to sit on and pulled out my phone. I tried three times to get ahold of Sean. After the third time I gave up. I hailed a taxi and gave the driver my fathers address. It took about 45 minutes to get there because of the traffic.
Pulling up to the small house my father lived was nerve racking. I got out and gave the driver his money. The house was only one story house that looked to be big enough for maybe two people to live in it at once. All the light inside the house were off, but the small garage next to it had all it's lights on.
Dad was in the garage working on the same car he's been working on since I was ten. "You're still working on that old kluncker that you know will never run." I said causing him to jump. I couldn't but laugh.
"Odessa, is that really you?" He asked turning around to look a me.
"Yeah it's me Sargent Dad."I said using the name that I use to call him when I was younger. He pulled me into a hug and I couldn't help the few tears that left my eyes.
"I've missed you so much Essa." He said pulling away. I could see a few tears falling down his cheeks.
"I've missed you to dad." I said wiping the few tears away from my face.
"So whats brought you all the way out here? Wait Essa are you in trouble?" He asked before I could even answer his first question.
"No dad I'm not in trouble." I said lying through my teeth "I just really miss Sean and I wanted to come see him. Actually where is he, I know it's Saturday here and he's not at school." I asked.
"Sean doesn't live here anymore." he said not looking at me.
"What do you mean Sean doesn't live here anymore?" I asked.
"I kicked him out because he was racing again." he said.
"Dad Sean's not even 18 yet and you know for a fact that nothing is going to stop him from racing. It's part of who he is and you can't change that. He's just like me, he won't let anything stop him from doing what he loves." I said gradually getting louder.
"I know that know, but there's no going back now." he said as if he didn't really mean it. I didn't say anything just picked up my bag and started to leave "Where are you going?" he asked.
"I'm going to find my little brother." I said not looking back.
"It's Saturday he's most likely at the races." he said as if it would actually change anything. I didn't say anything just kept on walking.
