*Harley's P.O.V.*

I woke up the next morning with the tattooed arms around me that I love. I pondered over Ashley's tattoos.

"A skull with a bandana, stars, girls, Bvb logos, 'Fidelity', Outlaw..."

As I was admiring his tattoos, Ash woke up and turned me over so I was facing him. He smiled at me and kissed my lips.

"Good morning." He said.

"Good morning." I replied.

"How'd you sleep?" He asked.

"Good." I said.

We stopped talking and just enjoyed each other's presence. There was a knock on the door.

"I'll get it." Ash said.

I watched him get up and leave the room. I heard the door open and there was some mumbling until Ash called me.

"Harley? Some people need to talk to you." He said.

"What? It's only 9 in the morning."

I got up anyway and looked in the mirror. After concluding I looked fine, I went to the front door to be greeted by two police officers. I was very confused.

"Hi. What's wrong? Did something happen?" I asked, nervously.

"Well, your parents have been released from jail and would like to have their daughter back." The officer said.

"But I'm 22 years old..." I started.

"Their other daughter." He stated.

Fear filled my eyes and my heart slowed.

"But they can't take her back. I'm her legal guardian." I said.

"Well, we tried to tell them that but they insisted we talked to you so you could give her back." The officer said.

"No. It's not gonna happen. Not over my dead body." I said firmly.

"Ok. Thank you for cooperating. You may be hearing more from them because they insist on having their daughter back." The officer said.

"Yeah, I figured they would. Thank you." I said before closing the door.

Anger filled my whole body and I punched the couch cushion.

"What was that all about?" Ashley asked.

"My dad is a piece of shit. He would abuse and neglect me and I don't want that happening to my little sister. He found another girl after I moved out and had Hera. I doubt she's actually a nice person, she's with my dad. That says it all." I said.

"Harley, you're starting your life now. You really can't take care of Hera anymore. You're gonna be in a band, with touring, recording, and interviews, you'll barely have time to do things for you, let alone a child." Ashley said.

"I guess he's got a point..."

"Well, what am I gonna do with her? I can't give her to my dad because she'll be physically and emotionally scarred for life." I said.

He sat down next to me on the couch and wrapped his arm around me.

"What about adoption?" He said, almost whispering.

"I can't give my sister up for adoption! She's my sister..." I yelled with anger but then was filled with sadness.

"Don't you know anybody who wants to adopt kids?" He said.

"Well..." I started.

Ashley waited eagerly.

"There's a family friend I know who can't have kids so her husband and her wanted to adopt but..." I said. "I can't give up my sister. It's not that I don't love her, I do. How will I explain that to her?" I asked.

"She's smarter than you think. I'm sure she'll understand. And she cares about you. She'll be happy knowing that you're happy." He said.

I sighed.

"Why don't we get dressed and go over to CC's and talk about it?" He suggested.

"Ok." I replied.

I took a shower and got dressed. While I was waiting for Ash to finish getting ready, I called Sarah.

"Hello?" She said through the phone.

"Hey. It's Harley."

"Hey! It's been awhile. How is everything?" She asked.

"Uh, good. But I just found out my dad got out of jail and he wants Hera back." I said.

"Oh, you're not gonna give her to him, are you?" She asked, worried.

"No! I wouldn't do that to poor Hera. But, um, are you and Justin still looking to adopt a kid?" I asked.

"Yes we are. Are you thinking about giving Hera up for adoption?" She said.

"Well, I don't want to... But I really have no other choice at this point. I'm still young and I'm just starting my life and I'm gonna be in a band and I really don't have time for a kid. I love Hera so much and I don't want her to think I don't want her. I love her and I just want what's best for her. I would rather her have a happy childhood with people who can take care of her than be stuck going to the babysitter's everyday." I said.

"I completely understand what you're going through. Justin and I would be more than happy to adopt Hera. Did you talk to her about it?" She asked.

"Not yet but Ashley and I were going to right now." I said.

"Who's Ashley?" She asked.

"Oh, my boyfriend." I said.

"Oh, ok. Just call me back after you make your decision." She said.

"Ok. Thank you so much." I said.

"Absolutely. Anything for you and Hera." She said.

"Bye." I said, hanging up the phone.

Right then, Ashley walked out from our room and we headed over to CC's place.

"I really hope she won't hate me." I said.

"She won't." Ashley promised.
