17: Pet

You and Jack had been dating for three years and you usually didn't do anything for your anniversary every year. "I'm going to go." Jack said kissing you on the cheek. "Get me some cheesecake." You said on your phone.

"Of course sweetie."

"Thank you." You said as he shut the door. You went to the kitchen and made some noodles. You got your phone and decided to text Jack.

Jack: happy 3 yEARS YOU BEAUTIFUL GORGEOUS BABE OF YOU

You laughed and put down your phone, checking on the pasta. After it was done you put the noodles in a bowl and sat down. After you were finished eating Jack had been gone for an hour and you were starting to get confused. Then you heard a knock on the door.

You unlocked it and saw Jack with a huge smile on his face. "What did you do?" You asked him, raising an eyebrow.

"Follow me!" He excitedly exclaimed. "Wait first put on shoes and turn off all the lights. We're going on an adventure!" You rolled your eyes and put on your boots. You looked at your outfit. You were wearing black leggings and a Star Wars sweater of Darth Vader's head.

"Let's go!" You said acting excited, but more confused.

"No talking." He whispered. You rolled your eyes until thirty minutes later he parked at an animal shelter. "What-" he cut you off by shushing you.

He grabbed your hand and lead you inside. There was a lady at a desk that smiled at you. "Are you Y/N?" She asked. You nodded and smiled back. "Follow me." She said. Jack followed behind you, and you behind the lady.

"Here's Eeyore. She's been at the shelter for five years and has been here the longest. She's eight years old and her tail was never there ever since we found her. She's blind in her right and and her left ear is gone." She explained.

You turned around and looked at Jack. "Did you set this up?" You asked him. "You've always said you loved pit bulls and if you ever got a dog you would walk in to a shelter and ask for the dog that's been there the longest. I just did it for you." He said kissing your forehead. "I already handled all the papers." He smiled.

"Here's her leash." The lady said, handing it to you. You smiled as you petted Eeyore. "I love her." You said as Jack drove home. "I love you. Also here's your cheesecake." Jack said, holding up New York style cheesecake.
