You were an old friend of Charles. He liked your unique ability. You could contorl fire and water. It was interesting to him on how you make two opposite work together. He brought you to the Mansion to help out. Charles and flirted sometimes but keep it settled during serious times. Till one day you asked him to read your mind. You wanted to tell him you liked him. You would think a man so smart would know if someone liked him.
Y/n: Charles
Charles: yes dear?
Y/n: have you ever read my mind?
Charles: why of course not. I would ask your permission.
Y/n: well I want you to read my mind.
Charles: why?
Y/n: its something I need to get off my chest but I just can't say it out my mouth for some reason.
Charles: are you sure y/n I would be able to see your whole background and secrets and...
Y/n: I don't mean to interrupt your nagging but you can it I promise it's alright.
Charles: are you sure?
Y/n: Charles I'm not going to tell you again.
Charles: fine I'll do it.
He touches his temple and looks at you ask if he were reading a book. Then he face lights up.
Charles: do you really mean it y/n?
Y/n: with all my heart Charles. I love you
Charles: I love you to.
