I woken up in the morning by my annoying alarm clock, Phil. Yes, his name is Phil. My hand slapped down on him shutting him up. Stupid Phil.
I sat up in my bed stretching tiredly, rubbing my eyes to remove the traces of eye boogers that had form at the corner of my eyes.
Getting up I headed over to my closet and took out a baggy flannel shirt and some boot cut jeans. I laid them on my bed and walked over to my dresser to take out some undergarments, taking them with me into the shower.
Still as tired as ever I somehow was able to turn on the shower head, making it pour down rapidly onto the showers floor. I undressed and went inside the shower.
Washing up thoroughly I got out the shower and placed on my bra and underwear. Heading into my room and putting on my clothes for today.
Once I was done, I fixed my hair into a messy ponytail and a placed a dab of clear lipgloss onto my lips. Putting on a grey hoodie then my bookbag, headed downstairs to see my mom sipping her daily cup of coffee.
"Hey honey." She said without looking up from the newspaper currently in her hand.
"Hey mom." I returned. I went into the cabinet to take out two granola bars. One being a chocolate chip chewy bar, the other being a regular nature valley Honey and Oats. With that I said bye to my mom, in which she returned and headed out the door.
My mom and I haven't been the closest since her divorce with dad. I think everytime she looks into my eyes she just see dad's since I have his crystal blue eyes, exact replicas.
Yet, Instead of giving any custody to dad, she took full custody of me. Allowing me to see him once a month in which we'd go out to do something; like bowling, ice skating, a picnic things in that nature.
Man, I sure do miss him.
When I arrived at school, my heart jumped a bit. School didn't really like me much. I was constantly bullied and used for homework.
I'm not exactly sure why I was targeted so much, but I couldn't do anything about it. If I stand up for myself I just get bullied even more and no one would stand up for someone like me.
But, don't get me wrong, I have friends, well more like a friend. Her name is Beth. She was just like me constantly getting bullied and used, and maybe even worst.
I stepped onto the campus going to our usual spot. It was off to the side near the doors of the school, hidden by the stairs that led into the building.
Beth was there already and seemed to be overjoyed. It seemed as if every time I got closer, the more she looked as if she was about to explode.
Arriving in front of me she jumped up and down rapidly with a squeal. A smiled involuntarily appeared on my face and I began squealing with her.
Once we've calmed down, I finally asked her why we were squealing.
"I'm going to a new school!" She exclaimed.
"Really?!"
"Yes! My mom and dad saw how upset I was in this school and decided I should go to a new school. I'm out of this hell hole!" She squealed some more.
I was happy for her of course, but at the same time that meant I'd be alone...Forcing a smile on my face I asked, "When are you changing?"
"In a week by next Monday I am going to be an East Side Valley girl."
East Side Valley were said to be one of the most snottiness, self-absorbed school in our city. I looked at my innocently greened eyed, happy friend. Thinking of her as an East Side Valley girl and my heart broke.
