First Chapter

Ali stirred when she felt someone poking her. She smiled when she heard the cutest giggle. When she left Ethan in Acapulco, she never went back to Manila. Sam brought her to the province and there she healed herself. "Mimi. hungry". Oh her little bundle of joy. She opened her eyes and tickled the little boy beside her. Their laughter filled the room. "Alright, baby. Let's go have breakfast". She got up and lifted Andrew. When she opened the door she heard a woman's gregarious laughter in the kitchen. Only Sam laughs like that. She excitedly entered her little kitchen with Andrew in her arms while Jaxon is cooking. "Samantha Velazquez, bakit ngayon ka lang umuwi?" Nakapameywang na tanong niya. Sam smiled wickedly at her. "Mamaya mag-uusap tayo". She rolled her eyes and placed Andrew in the high chair. "Ako na dito. Go and change your clothes first. By the way, you are coming for the pamanhikan right?".

"Of course. I wouldn't miss it for the world. My big brother is finally getting married. Hindi na siya tatandang binata". Sam glanced at Jaxon who was glaring at her now. They both laughed at Jaxon this time. Jaxon is aloof to people but when she came to their little town, it was like Jaxon went out of his shell. Sabi nga ni Sam, perhaps seeing her growing with child changed Jaxon for the better. Tonight, they are all going to Cebu for the pamanhikan to Jaxon's fiancée. Of course kasama siya kasi sabi nga ni Jaxon, she is part of the family although minsan na siyang pinagselosan ng girlfriend neto. "Bilisan nyo ang kumain at maligo baka ma traffic tayo sa daan". Jaxon announced later. Sabay silang tumango ni Sam.

After preparing the things they will bring to Cebu, lumabas na siya ng room nila ni Andrew and saw Sam and Jaxon fighting over the remote control while Andrew was busy with his toys sa carpet. Her eyes suddenly turned towards the tv when she heard the showbiz reporter announcing the name of Ethan and she saw his lovely smile while facing the camera with a woman beside him. 'Sila pa din pala'. She thought. Her heart does not anymore hurt whenever she hears Ethan's name. Nakikita niya to sa news, sa facebook newsfeed niya being the subject of perhaps every women's fantasy out there. But she never bothered clicking the links or reading everything about Ethan or watching news about Ethan. Tapos na sila. She has accepted that fact a long time ago. Madali naman siyang mahanap eh kung gugustuhin nito, her social media accounts are still active. Although she blocked Ethan pero kung gugustuhin nito he can find her, he has so many resources but it seems that Ethan never really cared for her genuinely. And she has accepted that fact a long time ago. She noticed two pair of eyes looking at her, concern in their eyes. She smiled at them, "Okay lang guys. Ano ba kayo. It's been three and a half years. I remember him but I hardly remember the feeling, so chill". She laughed at their expressions afterwards. She proceeded to place their bags near the front door and she approached Andrew to change his clothes. "Ano, hindi pa ba tayo aalis?".

"Aalis na. I'll start the car". Jaxon answered her.

When they arrived at the Yu residence, they were greeted with so much enthusiasm. Divine's mother excitedly took Andrew from her. Natawa nalang silang lahat and naging tuksuhan na naman si Divine and Jaxon na bilisan ang paggawa ng baby. Dinner was fun, lahat ata ng relatives ni Divine present whereas sa bahagi ni Jaxon, it was just her, Andrew, Sam and their parents. While the parents were busy planning the wedding and Andrew sleeping already, sila pumunta sa garden nila Divine. Nagtatawanan and nag-iinuman sila when Divine approached her. "Ali, my company asked me to represent them sa soft opening ng isang mall dito, do you wanna go with me tomorrow? It would be good for you. Jaxon can't come kasi he will go for his fitting tomorrow and I don't want to ask Sam alam mo naman yun ayaw nun sa mga social events". I was shocked. I know about the mall, it's Ethan's family owned mall. "Please Ali para makapag bonding naman tayo and this is me apologizing for getting jealous of you before. Si mommy and tita ang mag-aalaga kay Andrew din".

"Ano ka ba. I understand naman kung bakit ka nagselos. Sige, I will come with you pero saglit lang ako dun ha. Alam mo naman na hindi ko maiwanan si Andrew ng matagal diba?". Divine hugged her happily. "Oo. I understand. Don't worry, Ethan will not be there kasi ang pagkakaalam ko nasa Dubai pa siya". Yes, Divine knows about Ethan. Sinabi ni Jaxon sa kanya which she doesn't mind kasi naman akala ni Divine dati si Jaxon ang ama ni Andrew.

Ali could see several people getting out of their cars and proceeding to the mall entrance where reporters are busily interviewing celebrities and prominent people going into the mall. She's nervous. Baka Ethan is there but Divine assured her that Ethan is not coming. Divine signaled her to get out of the car and to follow her. Her cocktail dress hugging her body perfectly and she looks amazing. Giving birth to Andrew added some curves in her body and she can feel eyes staring at her while walking the red carpet. Ali and Divine smiled at the cameras. Divine was being interviewed about the building design since their company is one of the contractors. She stopped breathing for awhile when her gaze landed on the man 10 steps away from them. He is still so handsome and confident while answering a reporter. He didn't notice her. Of course. She is beside him. And her eyes darted towards the ring on her finger. She doesn't understand why her heart feels like its breaking into tiny million pieces. She composed herself and whispered into Divine, "He's here. Please let's go". Divine's eyes suddenly widened at her and nodded absentmindedly. She couldn't help it but her eyes went back to him and she found him looking at her this time. There was no expression on his face. He was just staring at her. Divine grabbed her hand and literally dragged her towards the mall entrance. Thank God for Divine because it seems that she couldn't take her eyes away from him. "I'm so sorry Ali. I didn't know. I asked the organizer and she said that Ethan couldn't come".

"It's okay Divine. I understand. Sana nga lang hindi kami magkausap sa loob. Let's stay away from him kay?". "Yes, I will just say hello to a few people inside and then we will go. I don't want to stay here longer too".

The party was in full blast. She saw several well-known people inside. Marami ng stores ang open so Divine and her went to several shops instead of lingering long inside the party venue after Divine approached some men in dark suits. Thank God talaga hindi nagkrus ang landas nila ni Ethan sa loob. Hindi na sila nagstay for the program proper. After shopping, they went out through the south exit when she heard her name being called. She looked back and saw Ethan approaching her but she never stopped walking. Buti nalang maraming tao at nahirapan si Ethan, they were able to leave the place.

But her mind keeps wondering why Ethan called her. He never does that infront of so many people.
