Smiles and Laughs

One day, Kona and her brother Ed, were playing in a garden, meaning just exploring. But, people in the village were scared to go into the garden because they had heard stories about something just watching them when they were there. Now, Kona and Ed were brave, and they wanted to see just what they had heard about this garden.

"Kona..Where is it?"
"I don't know, but it's somewhere.." She replied.
"This way." Ed pointed down to a pathway and he walked there, Kona following.
They kept walking down until they heard a racket in the bushes.
"Hello..?" Kona said nervously.

No reply.

"Let's go back to the house Kona!!" Ed yelled.
"Ed, lets just-" But he grabbed her hand and pulled her away from the noise, back up the path to go home to their house in the village.

The next morning, they went out to pick apples for their mother and father in the field.

Ed stepped outside into the cool air of Minnesota, where soft snow was falling and Kona was following.
"Do you want to go back? Back to the garden?" Kona asked, but Ed was honestly not up for it, because of what happened in the garden, when they heard the noise. "I do think that that was just a rabbit or some animal that we heard In the bushes."
"Fine!" A snowflake fell into his eye. "ugh. lets just go!"
"I'm sorry if I made you upset brother."
"Kona, it's fine!"
"Are you sure because it doesn't seem like your fine."
"I am!!!"
"Then stop yelling."
"Ok!"
"You still are."
"KONA!"
"Calm down Ed, I know your scared but we should really see what is down there lurching.. Please?"
"Yeah I know, I said fine.."
"Then let's go." They walked down to the garden, walked around a little bit, when I saw a mist of green air that was it a normal line shape was rising into the air from the ground.
"Lets dig here!!" Ed suggested.
The two siblings dug with their hands until they found something magical. More green mist raised and suddenly, they both made a expression they have never seen before and a noise that couldn't be described.
The explorers called them smiles, and laughs.
Kinda giggles, now that she can, "Told you there was something cool."
And now, the garden is the friendliest place for the village.
