Accidental Love || Malum

chapter 4

Michaels POV

I woke to the sound of my alarm blaring. I reached up and slammed my hand down on the snooze button and look at the time. 6:30. Fantastic.

I absolutely hate Mondays. And I definitely wasn't ready to head back to school. But I finally groggily climbed out of bed and walked to my bathroom.

I showered and brushed my teeth and then headed back to my room to get dressed. I picked up some black skinny jeans, a black tshirt, and a red and black flannel from my floor and out them on.

After putting my clothes on, I headed downstairs to eat breakfast. I made me a bowl of cocoa pebbles.

After eating I put my black converse on and headed out the door, not even bothering to tell my parents goodbye. I see no point in waking them up earlier than I have to.

I get in my car and quickly drive to school. I was already late. But I didn't care.

I pull up to the school and get out of my car. I made my way to the office to sign in and headed to my English class. I walk in and my teacher shoots me an ugly look. "Where have you been Mr. Clifford?" She asks while crossing her arms.

"Nothing that concerns you" I reply dryly. (Why does she have to know all of my business) I think to myself.

"We were choosing partners for your English project. But since you're late, you and Calum are partners. You are the only ones left" she says while walking back to her desk.

"What?!" Me and Calum shout at the same time. "No, no you don't understand.. I CANT work with Calum... You can't do this" I say frantically.

"Sorry, but you were late and you two are the only ones left. If you don't do this project you'll have to repeat my class. So I suggest you figure something out" she replies obviously annoyed.

The rest if class was horrible. I was so mad. I just wanted to punch something. I can't be partners with Calum fucking Hood.

As soon as the bell rings for break I grab my stuff and storm out of the classroom. I walk to my usual spot for break and find Ashton and Luke.

The three of us have been best friends do as long as I can remember. But Ashton and Luke seem to be strangely close.

As soon as I get to them I kick the table. "Whoa dude chill!" Luke says while looking terrified. "What's gotten into you?" Ashton says while touching my shoulder to calm me down.

"I got paired up with Calum to do a project in English! I can't stand him! He's such an ass and super girly. It's fucking weird!" I yell while running my hands through my hair.

"Okay well calm down... I'm sure it will be fine. It's just for a project. Just get it done as fast as possible so you don't have to hang around him long" Luke says. "Yeah what he said" Ashton said while pointing to Luke and giggling.

"Okay fine. I'll try and be nice." I say while putting quotes around nice. Just then I felt a tap on my shoulder.

I turned around and there was Calum. Smiling at me like an idiot. I have to fight off the urge to punch him. "What do you want?" I say while gritting my teeth.

"Oh nothing really. Just wondering what time I need to come over today!" He says while batting his eyelashes.

"Just text me about it" I say while looking away. Being embarrassed to talk to him. "I don't have your number" Calum says while holding his phone out.

I quickly put my number in his phone and turn away from him. "Well I guess I'll see you later" Calum says while walking away. "Bye lover boy" Calum says as he looks over his shoulder and waves.
