Molly shut the door, it had been the hardest 30 minutes of her life but they had gone and she was here. She sat on her bed and sighed, 7 more weeks till I see them again, till that time I've just got to get through university.

Her flat was quiet, she wasn't really sure how this works. Its tough being a girl with Asperger's. People immediately pick it up but just assume you were a little weird. OK, a lot weird . That is until, you tell them and then they seem to go back to treating you normally.

Molly rolled onto her new bed and stroked the quilt. She had picked it herself. A cheap Ikea one but it looked nice. Comforting. She could feel the springs through her quilt already, great. Molly lay there for a while trying to get to grips with everything. She was now on her own, in a flat of people she doesn't know over 200 miles away from home. The pain of all this hit her as she lay there crying , she was now separated away from family by 250 miles of english land.

250 miles, she would have to book months in advance to get cheap train fares , and by cheap she means £30 one way. She didnt plan on going this far, just because she had a bad run at A levels she ended up further north than she ever could have asked for. Her dad had died over the two years she did at sixth form. He had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer when she left year 11 and rapidly detriorated over the two years she studied for A levels. She found she had little interest in chemical equations but she still held on to her love of biology. Her dad had passed away after her last exam and left her and her mum on their own. Molly had to go through clearing but thankfully found a university willing to take her on, and she wasnt going to waste this oppotunity.

Heaving herself off her bed she decided to have a look round the SU. After all , there was no use in staying in her deathly silent flat. She grabbed her keys and headed the short 30 second walk to the SU. There were hundreds of students picking up their freshers wrist bands and even an outdoor football court. She decided to join this as she needed something to do. She climbed over the barrier and strapped herself in and began to play. She was begining to have fun when she noticed a person staring at her from the top of the car park where the football was. Once the person had noticed she was looking , they turned and dissapered. Molly shrugged this off and carried on playing before heading home to get a good nights sleep before her 9am lab the next day.
