Kakashi's Daughter

chapter 2

I finish making the ramen. "Kajini, food is done" I said. She got off the couch and came to the table. I set the ramen in front of her. She stared at me and the the ramen. When I just blink once, she was halfway done! Wow, she must resemble me. Wait, what am I saying! How would I even know if this is my child?

She got off the chair and put the empty ramen cup in the trash can. She then went to the sink and wash her spoon. I went into the hallway closet, and took out a blanket and two pillows. I went to the spare room, which was upstairs.

The spare room didn't have much. Only a bed, a dresser, a closet with nothing inside of it, and a window. I turn on the fan, since it hasn't been on in a while. I set the bed, making the room to look more comfortably. I need to get her new clothes.

I went downstairs, to see her going thru the bookshelf. "Hey, get away from there" I said. I sounded a little demanding and mean. She flinch at the tone of my voice. I regret it and I went up to her. I set her gently on the couch, and I sat next to her.

I look at her. Her hair, the same as my hair color, was long. She headed sky blue eyes. They were a lighter color then Naruto's eyes. She was short. "How old are you?" I ask. "Eleven" she replied. Her mother must've been short. I then got a good look at her clothes. They were sorta torn and old.

"We're going shopping" I said. She look at me with a little bit of happiness in her eyes. She nod her head, and got up and off the couch. I open the door and led Kajini out.

-time skip-

We arrived at the shopping area of Konoha. I wanted to give her an outfit for combat. I am going to enroll her in the Ninja Academy. We went inside a store where clothes for combat are found. I didn't want her to get something too showy, or too coveted up.

Kajini then pulled on my jacket. "Hmm?" I hummed. She went in front of a outfit. It was white and had light red on the outlines. That's the one. I went up to the cashier and bought Kajini her new outfit. (Number 5 in the media)

When we got home, she ran into her room, taking the outfit, and closing the door. She must be changing. I look at the time, which shows it is almost going to be sundown. I'll ask the 3rd Hokage to enroll her tomorrow. Wait, but there is another problem, who will watch Kajini tomorrow?

I have a D-rank mission with my team, and I can't leave her here by herself. Also, it takes two days for a child to enroll into the ninja academy. I can see if I can leave her with Kurenai for the day.

I heard the door open, which caught my attention. I barely heard any footsteps down the stairs. Kajini was in her outfit. It'll do for now, and for me to save money, she'll just wear one of my t-shirts and sweats for pajamas.

"Is the outfit comfortable?" I ask. She nod her head. Good, when she trains, I don't want it the clothing to big so it'll snag on something or be to tight that she can't run or do things quickly. I summon one of my ninken dogs, Pakkun.

"Hey Kakashi, how you been?" He greeted me. "I've been good, Pakkun. I need you to stay here and look after Kajini" I commanded, pointing at Kajini. "Alright, this'll be easy" he said.

I left to go find Kurenai. She should probably be at the training grounds at this time, probably training her team.

-time skip-

I'm at the training grounds. I see Kurenai sitting on the ground, her eyes close. I look to the woods on the left, I can sense Shino hiding. In the woods on the right, Kiba is there with his dog, Akamaru. I then sense Hinata in the trees a few feet away from Kiba.

"Kakashi" I hear Kurenai call out my name. "Hello Kurenai, I see you're still training" "We can talk, it can be also part if their lesson"

I sat down across from her. "Do you have to go on a mission tomorrow?" I ask. She open one eye. "No, I have the day off. Why do you ask?" "I need someone to take care of my, well, daughter" this cause her to immediately stand up.

"Trainings over, go home!" she yelled, ordering her students to leave. After a few seconds, I didn't sense thier presence. "We'll talk about this when we go to your place, I want to see her" she stated. I nod my head. We started walking back to my place.

-time skip-

I open the door to my apartment. I see Pakkun sitting on the couch, but no sign of Kajini. "Pakkun, where is she?" I ask. "Sleeping" he reply. I nod my head as Pakkun then left. I started going upstairs as Kurenai followed me. I open the spare room door quietly, careful not to wake her up.

She had one of my t-shirts on, and a pair of shorts on, which were mine. Kurenai stood beside her, examining her. After about a minute, Kurenai sigh. "Well, she does look like you" Kurenai said. "Um, thanks?" I said, it came out more like a question. "I'll watch over her tomorrow" she said. "Thanks, you can come by at 8" I said.

Me and Kurenai talk a bit more about tomorrow, then she left to run some errands. Its going to be night soon. I grab a towel from the hallway closet, and went into a bathroom. I turn on the faucet, and waited for a minute to let the water get warm. I wonder who is Kajini's mother? I should ask her when she gets up.

-time skip to the next morning-

I woke up early, so I can make Kajini her breakfast. I check to see if she was asleep, and she was. I went downstairs, and into the kitchen. I open the fridge, and found two eggs. I don't really cook, but I can make a thing or two. After a fee minutes, I hear Kajini coming down the stairs. "Good morning" I greeted her once she came all the way down.

She smiled and greeted me back. "Kajini, I am going to be gone for most of the whole day. A good friend of mine, Kurenai, is going to watch over you, ok?" I informed her. She nod her head. I wrote down the things I want Kurenai to do, like take her to the park, get her some new clothes, etc.

I find making eggs, and set it down on the table. Kajini came over and sat down to eat. "When you're done, get change, ok?" I said. She nod her head. "Do you know your mother's name?" I ask. She stop eating. Her eyes got sad. Ugh, why did I bring that up!

"Its ok, if you don't want to-" "Mama, was a sweet person" she cut me off. "She took care of me, fed me, help me when I was in trouble. She love me with all her heart" she started talking about her mother. "I never knew her name. She never gave it to me. She told 'There is a reason I won't tell you my name, you'll understand in the future'. I always wonder what her name was"

I couldn't say anything. No words came out of my mouth. Silence filled the air, nothing made a sound. It was if we were timeless. She then got up, put her plate in the sink, and left to change. I sigh WS I went to my book shelf and grab the Christmas special of the Icha Icha book series.

After some time, I heard a knock on the door. I got up and open the door. It was Kurenai. "Hello Kakashi" she greeted me. "Hello Kurenai, she's in her room" I said. I step aside so Kurenai can come in. "Here is a list I made so you two can do something" I said as I handed her the list.

Kajini came out in her outfit I got her yesterday, well the only thing I got her yesterday. "Kajini, this is Kurenai. She is going to take care of you" I introduce Kajini to Kurenai. Kurenai sent her a heart warming smile. "Hello Kajini, I'll be taking care of you. How old are you?" Kurenai ask Kajini.

"Eleven" Kajini replied. Kurenai then sent me a quick small glare, oh boy. "Well I need to get going. Bye Kurenai, bye Kajini" I said my farewells. Kajini wave goodbye and so did Kurenai. "Oh, here" I quickly gave Kurenai the keys, in case if they do go out.

I made it to the gates to see my team there. "Kakashi sensei, what took you so long?" Naruto whined to me. "Just decided to take my time, that's all" I simply reply. "I was only a few minutes late" "Doesn't matter anymore, let's, just get going" Sasuke said.

After some time, Sakura was clinging all over Sasuke, Naruto was getting mad, and Sasuke was getting annoyed. Sigh, I have enough problems with these three already....
