Alex's POV:

"I will miss you so much, mom. I've grown up now and I'm ready to start my life." said Alex, while staring at her family.

"I will miss you too, Alex. It won't be the same without you here everyday." She slowly responded.

"I know, I will be back on holidays though. Like Christmas. Christmas is in 25 days. That won't seem too long." Alex explained.

"Okay dear. Just have fun at your new school and don't do anything bad. I will always be checking up on you. Your Aunt Maya lives close by so if you need anything, just call her."

"I will, don't worry mom. I will be fine."

"Just making sure. I love you, see you soon!"

"I love you too. Bye mom!" Alex replied as she walked out the door.

Alex's phone beeped. Bella, one of her friends, texted her.
The message read, "On the bus now. So excited to go to school!"
Alex smiled. She checked the time, just to make sure she wasn't late.

"It's 11:57! I need to be on the bus by 12:00!" Alex shrieked.

She ran down the apartment stairs and to the bus stop.

Noah's POV:

"Do you have everything you need, Noah?" Noah's dad, John, asked him.

"Yes. I packed everything." he responded.

"Oh, Hun! I will miss you so so much!" Noah's mom, Lena, exclaimed.

"I will miss you guys, too."

"Don't forget to call every night and come back for the holidays!" John shouted as Noah walked out the door.

"I won't, don't worry. Love you!"

"Love you too, Noah." his parents replied, tears streaming down their faces.

Noah walked down to the bus stop. He stood there and patiently waited.

Alex's POV:

Alex was running down the street, dodging the people walking. She didn't see what was infront of her, due to snow. She ran straight into Noah, making them both fall to the ground. Noah was in so much shock because he didn't see that coming. Noah looked up at her and Alex looked at him. The snow was falling down on their faces making it a dramatic moment. They stared into each other's eyes for four seconds, then Alex broke the silence.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to run into you! The snow was blocking my vision!"

"It's totally okay. I understand. I was a little late too."

"Really? I'm sorry again." Alex apologized.

"It's no big deal." Noah said.

The bus pulled up infront of them. They walked to the doors and Noah stepped aside.

"Ladies first." Noah smirked.

"Well, thank you, sir." Alex said, smiling at Noah.

Alex got on the bus and Noah followed straight after her.
They sat down on opposite sides of each other. After a few minutes, Noah finally spoke.

"Are you going to NYU?"

"Yes, I am. Are you?"

"I am!"

"That's so cool! Maybe we will be roommates!"

"Maybe."

"Wait, do I know you?" Noah said.

"Are you the guy that was in my gym class?"

"Yeah, I think so!"

"We used to be friends when we were in middle school!"

"I remember that! You look so different!"

"You too! I can't believe I didn't recognize you!"

"Same!"

They kept on talking about their life and themselves the whole two hours to the University. Alex and Noah had a lot in common and became good friends. That's how their friendship started.
