Noah's POV:

Noah woke up the next morning in the spare bedroom. He didn't know where he was at first, then remembered that he was in Alex's new apartment. He reached over to the table beside his bed and continued to read his book.

"Chloe and Ben looked at each other, staring intensely. It was like they haven't seen each other in years. Suddenly, they ran up to each other and exchanged hugs. They squeezed each other and didn't let go."

Noah cringed. He was the kind of guy that liked to read romance books and liked to imagine he was in the world of the characters. He imagined seeing someone he hasn't seen in years and how it would feel to be that person. Books made him happy because he could escape from the world and into the land of reading. Lots of boys don't like reading but Noah loves it.

Alex came into his room with a tray. It had pancakes with butter and syrup, with blueberries on the side in a little bowl.

"Good morning, Noah"

"Good morning." he sat up.

"I'm guessing you like pancakes?" Alex asked while setting the tray on his lap.

"I love them, thank you for making me breakfast."

"No problem. I wanted to be nice since you were staying the night." Alex responded, while tucking her hair behind her ear.

"I could have made some myself, but it's nice that you did." Noah smiled.

Alex sat down on his bed.

"So, you are moving into your apartment today!"

"I hope..." Noah sighed.

Alex kind of wanted him to stay longer but she knew here wasn't his apartment and he had his own.

"Yeah. It would be stressful for me if I wasn't in my own place."

"It's nice here, though."

"Thanks." Alex stood up.

"I need to get more things done. Talk to you soon?"

Noah nodded and winked at her.

Alex blushed, then smiled, and walked out of the room.

Alex's POV:

"Wow." she thought to herself.

Over the past day, she has been starting to like Noah. They haven't known each other for long, but she just knows. Her heart feels happy when she's around him and he has a very kind heart, just like her.

Alex went back to the kitchen to finish making mac and cheese for lunch.
She couldn't stop thinking about how Noah winked at her and just him in general. She knew he probably wouldn't like her because they haven't known each other for long, but she was just happy that they were at least friends.

Noah's POV:

"Wow." he thought to himself.

He was starting to develop small feelings for Alex. She treated him so well and nicely. She was elegant and so graceful, the dream girl for him. He couldn't read his book because all he could see in his mind was her beautiful face. Noah didn't want to show her that he had feelings for her because they haven't known each other long and thought she definitely wouldn't like him back, at all. But little did he know that right at that moment, she was thinking about him too.

Noah got up out of bed and got dressed. He put on a white shirt that had blue edges, blue jeans, and his chain necklace. Noah walked over to the living room and sat on the couch. He reached for the remove and turned on a hockey game. Alex snuck up behind him, bent down, and poked his neck. Noah turned around fast and his glance locked with Alex's. They were staring at each other for two seconds when Alex put her hands on his face and blew air on his face. She giggled and Noah laughed. Alex came and sat down beside him and they both watched the hockey game, cheering on their favourite team. Noah was still blushing from that romantic moment so he tried to hide his face.

"Are you hot?" Alex stared.

"Yeah, a little."

Alex got up and opened the balcony doors. Noah was focused on her the whole time. She looked so stunning, even when she was opening doors. She sat down and they continued watching the hockey game.
