A/N: Hey guys! Just letting you know, the wedding is coming up soon. It will be in one of the next 2 chapters. Just make sure you stay with me here. Love ya!
*Jasmine's POV*
I slowly awoke the next morning with a small weight on my chest. I looked down and saw Zayn laying on me, his lips slightly parted with small puffs of air coming from his mouth. I smiled slightly and managed to wriggle out from under him without waking him. I went into the bathroom and decided to take and shower and put on some light makeup. As I went to step into the shower I heard someone behind me clear their throat and turned around to see Zayn in the doorway with a smirk on his face. I looked away and blushed as I tried to hide my embarrassment. He stepped closer and placed a finger under my chin and pulled my eyes up to meet his.
"Don't hide your face. You have a beautiful body. Nothing to be ashamed of," he said before planting a soft kiss to my lips.
"Ok babe. I won't hide," I say as I step away from him and step in the shower.
I wash my hair and body then turn the water off and grab a towel to wrap around my body. I step out of the shower and get dressed in yoga pants and a T-shirt and brushing my teeth. I put on some light natural makeup and pull my hair back into a ponytail before looking at myself and seeming satisfied. I step out and walk down the stairs into the kitchen where Zayn is making biscuits and gravy with sausage links on the side.
"Hey babe. Breakfast looks good. Where did you learn to cook?" I asked as I sat at a stool near the island in the kitchen.
"My mum taught me. And I grew up in a house full of girls so I picked things up pretty quickly," he said as he placed a plate in front of me.
I took a bite of the biscuits and gravy and had to hold back a moan seeing as the food was absolutely delicious. I quickly finished off the plate and placed in the sink. Suddenly, an idea struck my mind.
"Hey Zayn? I was thinking. Maybe instead of telling my parents about us today I was thinking we could go on a bike ride and explore a little bit. What do you think?" I asked with hope in my eyes.
"Sure babe. I think that's a great idea. Just let me get dressed. You go get the bikes out," he said as he went up stairs and walked into the bedroom. I walked outside to a sunny and clear day and smiled as I went to the back to grab the bikes. As I pulled them both out, Zayn stepped out of the door and closed it behind him. He walked over and we both mounted the bikes and began pedaling down the street.
We rode for about 30 minutes before stopping at a large tunnel. We couldn't see what was on the other side so I decided to pose a bit of a challenge.
"How about a race? Whoever gets to the end of this tunnel first, has to buy the other one ice cream," I said with a smirk, positive that I was going to win.
"Sure I'll take you up on that. Hope you're ready to spend a crap ton of money on ice cream," he said as he prepared to pedal as hard as he could.
"One, two, three, go!" I said quickly as I took off with Zayn on my heels.
We raced down the tunnel and Zayn quickly picked up speed but I was slightly faster. We reached the end of the tunnel with me in the lead and Zayn not far behind.
"Yes! I won! Guess who owes me ice cream?" I said in a sing-song voice.
"OK OK you won. But look what we just found," he said as he pointed ahead of us.
I looked to where he was pointing and I was dumbfounded by what I saw. Ahead was a gorgeous field filled with bright flowers. I gasped and stepped off my bike and slowly walked out into the field with my mouth agape and my thoughts flying around wondering how I had never noticed this before. I got to the middle of the field and sat down and began picking flowers. Zayn came and sat down next to me and pulled me into his lap. I nuzzled my nose into his neck and smiled. We sat like that for what seemed like ages before we heard a rustling come from behind us. We turned around to see Haley there, dressed in baggy sweatpants and a T-shirt with her head down and a sad expression on her face. She looked up and made eye contact with us before giving us a weak smile and walking past.
"I wonder what she's doing here. She seems down about something," I say as I rest my head on Zayn's shoulder.
"I don't know. Maybe she just comes here to be alone," he said and I nodded in agreement before looking up to look at the beautiful blue sky.
We sat there a small while longer before all of a sudden soft sobs filled my ears. I knew right away it was Haley since we were the only three in the field. I stood up and walked over to her, confirming that the sobs were coming from her.
"What do you want Jasmine?" She asked before letting out a few more soft sobs.
"I came to see what's wrong," I say as I rest my hand on her shoulder only to have her jerk away.
"It's nothing you should worry about. Just some stuff that no one will ever understand," she says and she takes a step forward.
"Haley, please tell me what's wrong," I say with concern.
"Let's just say people have become more cruel than I remember them to be," she said as she sniffled.
"What do you mean?" I ask.
"People at the college have been telling me I'm worthless, that I can't do anything right. And I'm coming to realize, that what they are saying is true," she says and I can feel my heart breaking.
"Haley, none of those things are true. You are worth everything in the world. Everything you've done, for me, for Zayn, has gone right. Please, don't listen to them," I say as I pull her into a hug.
"But they are! I'm not worth a thing to anyone! Everything I touch goes to trash! How can I not listen to them when it's screamed in my face everyday," she says as she tries to pull away but I refuse to let her.
"Haley! Stop! You are worth it! You don't ruin anything! How else would Zayn and I have met if you hadn't been around?" I ask as tears begin to spill down my face.
"But why do you want me around? What's so special about me?" She asked and I had to do my best not to laugh.
"You're kidding right? You're funny, smart, beautiful, and amazing. Who wouldn't want you around?" I ask as she smiles slightly.
"Yeah I guess. Ok. I won't listen to them," she says and I pull her into a tight hug.
"Good. Now whaddya say to ice cream huh? Zayns buying," I say and she smiles even brighter.
"Yeah I could go for some," she says and we walk back to Zayn.
"Haley will be joining us for ice cream," I say and we get on our bikes with Haley walking beside us and we go to get some ice cream. We get our ice cream and sit down at a table, just enjoying the nice warm rest of the day.
A/N: Hope you guys liked it. I believe I will put the wedding in the next chapter.
