October 10th 2015: Kellins pov
"Wait, wait, wait. You just somehow ended up back at the swings?"
"Yea and the time was 11:21 again"
Me and Jenna were standing at the checkout counters at work, well, she was standing, I was sitting on top of the counter per usual, and I had spent the whole morning explaining to her what had happened last night. The only problem was she didn't believe me.
"Kellin are you sure this wasn't just a dream?"
"Jennaaa" I whined "It wasn't a dream, I swear to you this happened"
"I think I need to get you some serious mental help" She said jokingly
"OH! I got his number!" I said excitedly. I took my phone out of my back pocket and quickly went to his contact.
Last night after everything, Vic and I had just kinda sat and talked for a while. By the time 1am rolled around, we both decided we better go home, but not before exchanging numbers.
I held the phone out for her to look at.
"See I told you"
"That doesn't prove anything, he could be anyone, not whoever you said you saved last night" She said
"Ugh, well I mean" I thought about it for a second "Maybe I could text him asking ab-"
Before I could finish my sentence a loud shattering sound came from one of the isles
"Another clumsy coustumer" Me and jenna sighed dramatically looking at each other
We made our way over to where the sound came from to see a woman in about her 70's standing with wine and broken glass all around her.
"This always happens" Jenna muttered under her breath "When the hell are we gonna find a way to prevent this stupid shit?"
As soon as she said that it was like a light bulb literally went off above my head. I wouldn't have been surprised if Jenna and the lady had seen one floating above me.
What if Vic was right about it being a power and I could go back in time again. I could prove to Jenna that I was telling the truth. I just need to figure out how I did it.
Last night I was sitting there, holding him, with my eyes closed, and thought about saving him...
I shut my eyes and thought about sitting on the counter trying to tell jenna about what happened
"I think I need to get you some serious mental help"
My eyes shot open, and there I was sitting back on the counter with Jenna standing there looking at me like I was crazy.
"Uhh, you okay there Kellin?"
"Im fucking fabulous cause I just found a way to prove im telling the truth to you!"
Her facial expression stayed the same
"In less than like 30 seconds, in isle 3, an old woman is going to drop a bottle of wine"
"Yea okay"
Right as she said that, the same crash I had heard just minutes before echoed through the building. Her head, which had turned toward the sound on instinct, now slowly looked toward me, a look of disbelief on her face. Mine on the other hand was something of a cheeky grin.
I hopped off the counter and practically skipped to the isle I knew the mess would be in. Jenna followed behind me slowly, almost cautiously. When she got to where I was, all color drained from her face.
"Kellin... HOLY SHIT YOU WEREN'T LYING" she practically screamed
"I told you so" I said, sounding like a know it all child.
"That's so insane" She said
Meanwhile, the poor old woman was still standing there, trapped by the glass she didn't want to step on. I helped her get around it and then told her that she was fine to just leave, not needing to pay for it. I then went to go get a mop and broom so me and Jenna could clean up.
When I returned she took the broom and we got to doing our jobs as she asked me what seemed like every question she could possibly think of, most of them being ones I couldn't yet answer.
