Once upon a time,

There lived a boy named Marcus Flynt. He was 17 and lived with his mother and father in Midwest City, Oklahoma. He went to Midwest High, and knew a few people he could call friends.

His momma always called him Aiden, which was his middle name, and his pappa calls him Mark. You might say it was confusing, with everyone calling him by different names, but Marcus was used to it by now.

Marcus was part of a big Christian family. His great great granddaddy founded Flynt Presbyterian Church of God, and he was proud of it.

He always prayed before he ate, slept, and even before he went to school. He also loved nature. He would always go outside and feed the squirrels and listen to the birds chirping.

He was a good hearted boy, and never got into trouble. He always got good grades and when he finished high school, he wanted to be a missionary. He wanted to teach the word of God to the youth.

Marcus was a rather handsome boy. He was tall, muscular, and had short black hair and dark hazel eyes. Being as handsome as he was, all the girls at school admired him. They followed him around and always fought over who sat with him on the bus, but Marcus paid them no attention.

You see, they weren't his 'type'. Marcus had his eye out for someone in particular. His name was Jared Garland. Poor Jared was the complete opposite of Marcus, in the fact that he was the laughing stock of the whole school. He used to have friends until he let it slip that he was gay and his 'friends' went and told everyone. Now he was known as Gayland or Gay Garland or even Gay Jay.

Everyone but Marcus seemed to think it was funny. Now Jared has no friends and lives a solitary life. Jared is only about 5'5 which is short for a boy and he has bright green eyes and short dirty blonde hair.

Everyone says that he's ugly cause he's got a big scar on his cheek, but to Marcus, he's the most beautiful thing he's ever seen. Sometimes Marcus gains up the courage to talk to him, but every time, Jared would think that he's being made fun of, and tell him to leave him alone.

Nobody knows about Marcus' secret. Not even his parents. He's afraid of what they might think. When he turned 13 he started having weird feelings for other people, like any other boy his age. But for Marcus, he felt feelings for other boys. He tried to change his mind, but it wasn't possible, it was his heart that was wronging him.

He finally excepted it when he was 14, but he was afraid of what his parents would think, so he kept it to himself.

Marcus thought long and hard that night and he prayed for the Lord to give him courage. The next morning, he prayed again before he finally went to school. Marcus and Jared had all the same classes together so he was bound to have an opportunity to talk to him in private.

All day he kept glancing over at Jared, waiting for his moment. Later on, in the last class of the day, Jared went to the restroom during class. Marcus, feeling that this was his last chance, waited a few minutes and asked to go. When he walked out of the classroom his heart sped up and his hands got all clammy. He decided to wait outside of the bathroom as to not freak him out, though hiding outside wasn't much better.

Marcus waited and waited for what seemed like forever and he paced back and forth. All kinds of scenarios played through his head until he couldn't wait any longer. He turned to go in and ran smack into Jared.
