The alpha heaved a huge sigh and nodded. "Make yourself comfortable and let me tell you a story" he said, leaning back comfortably in his chair. I did as I was told and put all my attention on him. "A story about what?" I asked curiously. He gained a pained glint in his eye and his jaw tensed as he clenched his teeth.

"A story about the despicable humans that call themselves hunters."

"Throughout history there are records of the trials of confessed or accused werewolves. In fact, they were hunted, questioned and executed in much the same way witches were, because often witches were accused of also being werewolves. These so-called 'werewolf trials' gave us a historical glimpse at rampant human belief in werewolves. Some of the accused were arrested because humans needed someone to blame for dead livestock or some other explainable occurrence."

Shivers went down my spine and my eyes narrowed as he continued, a sigh passing through his chest. "Although a werewolf hunter is a being who hunts werewolves. Typically a werewolf hunter not only hunts werewolves, but also hunts anything that isn't full-blood human or animal. Werewolf hunters are very difficult to find, and it is almost impossible to convince someone without a deep-seated dislike for the species to willingly hunt werewolves, as we werewolves are extremely powerful creatures. The percentage of werewolf hunters who are actual hired hands is therefore very very small. Typically the werewolf hunter has had some kind of a bad experience with werewolves and so uses that to fuel his dislike of the species. In our case that is exactly the problem. There is a hunter family around these parts but they aren't normal hunters" he explained, I blinked, digesting all of the information. I really don't think I'm going to like this next part...

"What do you mean 'they aren't normal hunters'? Why are they different?" I asked nervously. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. "Because they have a secret weapon. They are making genetically made werewolves and those werewolves are at their beck and call. Which means not only do we have to worry about the hunters weapons but also others of our kind". His words hit me hard as my breath left my lungs. Oh my god. They have fucking werewolves now!?

I not down on my lip and stared at the floor. "And these hunters are after this pack?" I guessed quietly. He gained a solemn look and nodded. "There's a reason you were told that there were no active packs in California. So to speak, were in hiding" he admitted. I nodded slowly taking it in. "I see" I sighed softly.

"Will you still join our pack Beau? Will you help protect the elderly, women and children who can't fight?" He asked pleadingly. "I don't know if I'll be much help to you. But I'll definitely try my best to help you guys" I agreed, strengthening my resolve.

"So basically during school you will stick with the pack and everyday after you will come here to resume your training. We'll start you off with something easy and work our way up but it shouldn't be too hard, even for an Omega" Deliah explained, standing from my living room chair.

As soon as that little exchange finished, I was ordered to return home for some rest and time to think. Needless to say the alpha made an escort out of his daughter and son. But so far Jordan really hadn't said anything. "Okay, I understand. But what about my friends at school? Won't they get suspicious?" I raised my eyebrow at her. "He's right Dell, he hangs with Dio Lorence and those weirdos" Jordan spoke for the first time since he entered my house.

Deliah chewed on her thumb thoughtfully and nodded. "Hm, your just going to have to slowly weed yourself away from them" she sighed, running a hair through her orange hair. "Wait what!? I can't be friends with Dio anymore!?" I exclaimed, getting to my feet in protest. Her head snapped up and she death glared me.

"Of course you can't! Are you a fool!? Humans are dangerous! All humans. Why would someone like you even try to get close to one? Humans are nothing but trouble" she lectured me, hand on her hip.

For a second Nirvana, in that exact pose, flashed in my mind and I flinched back, shaking my head. No, not Nirvana. She'd never tell me to do this. "I've joined the Forte pack Deliah but I will not break ties with my first ever friend because of it. No matter what anyone says" I snapped, turning my back and walking towards the hallway.

"You know where the door is, make sure you lock it when you leave" I murmured continuing down the hall to my room. "Hey! You can't just disobey us li-" "Deliah. Let's go. He obviously needs some time" Jordan cut off his sister. I closed me door quietly and leaned against it, listening to her grumble but agree. They left quickly and I sighed, sliding down the door to sit on the ground.

What the hell? I mean not two weeks ago I was laughing and enjoying school with Nirvana. And now I'm a rejected Omega thousands of Kilometres from home and all alone.

Damn it I'd rather just die. Wouldn't that be nice. To just end everything before it got any wor-No! What the fuck Beau!? I mentally screamed at myself, literally slapping myself in the face.

I shook my head and took a deep breath. "Get a hold of yourself, Beau" I grunted to myself, getting up and walking to the bathroom.

All I wanted right now was steaming hot water on my back and then after I'd call my Mom and ask her about what to do in this whole mess!
