Mr O'brien's pov:

"It's been a week since our kids have been missing Kane!!!"

"Kane we need to do something now!!!"

"Where the fcuk could they be?"

Hearing the anger and worry in my men's voices. I can feel my own anger rising.

Knowing only one other person who can calm me down. I pick up my phone phone and dial a number I should have dialed years ago.

*Phone call

Kane Pixie

"Hello sister" hearing her breathing hitch, I wait a bit before I continue.

"Kane?" She whispered my name before I could carry on. Leaning back in my chair I close my eyes to prevent my tears from falling.

"Is that really you Kane?" Knowing I have to apologies for my disappearance, I silently pray she'll forgive me. Taking a deep breath, I say

"I'm really sorry Pixie. I'm so sorry for leaving when dad left us, please forgive me."

Not even a second later, Pixie's inviting me over to meet her family. Accepting her invitation, we end the call.

Seeing the confusion on my mens faces. I shake my head and tell them to pack their clothes.

With that they leave my office in a hurry.

*past

"You can't leave us dad, We need you! Mum needs you! Pexie needs you! I need you! Please don't leave us dad!"

Grabbing onto my dad's arm with all my strength, he stops in his steps and carefully pushes me against the wall.

Looking me dead in the eye he whispers,

"This is the only way I can protect you all. If I don't leave he will send people after you, Pexie and your mother. I can't let that happen. If I can protect my family, then that's what I will do"

Even through his tearful eyes I can see the love he holds for us all. Feeling my own tears rise, I blink them away when he continues.

"Son, sometimes you have to sacrifice your own happiness for the future of those you love"

Pulling me into a hug, I hear him whisper.

"Please remember I love you, your sister and mother. You three will always be my heart and life"

Not being able to controls my tears, I let them fall freely. Watching my dad walk out the door was the hardest thing to watch.

Knowing for a fact, no matter how many times I try to reason with him to stay. He will keep to his word and make sure my family was safe from what ever trouble he was In.

Turning away from the door, I silent make my way up to Pexie's room. Walking over to her, I place a kiss upon her head and make my way back to my room.
