Prologue
"We're what?!" I yell, my eyes going wide.
"We're moving, Arianna. I'm sorr-"
"We're moving?! Mom, you promised we wouldn't move again!" I say, my vision becoming blurry with tears. "I've finally settled down! What about all my friends?" I drift off, and walk around the counter. Then I gasp. "What about my track team!" I slam my hands on the counter and take a heavy seat in the chair. I am beyond pissed. I can feel my cheeks warming up with heat. A warm hand finds it's way to my back, and I irritatingly look up to see my dad smoking a cigarette, his hand awkwardly moving in circles.
"They have track teams in Ohio, and you can always make new friends. You know the deal. Your mom's job gave her a promotion, and now we have to move. We've been through this before." He blows a small puff of smoke out of the corner of his mouth, and I roll my eyes as I watch as it float through the air before disappearing. The foul stench fills my nose, and I hold back the urge to cough as I turn away from him. My voice begins to break.
"Why did you even promise? Why would you promise when you knew it was going to happen again?" I question, leaning against the counter.
"Arianna, I didn't know it was going to happen again-"
"That's bullshit!" I scream, banging my fist hard on the wall. My father smothers his cigarette. His face was slightly red, and he runs a hand through his graying brown hair.
"Arianna! Don't use that language in this house!" My face begins to burn with anger.
"Well apparently, this isn't our house anymore since we're moving!" I then stand up from my stool and get ready to storm up the steps. "Don't make a promise if you can't keep it. Because then you're just leading me on." I storm out the room, and run up the stairs before the tears begin to fall.
Again and again, my life keeps being taken away from me, and I can't do a damn thing about it.

Should I continue? Yay or nay?
