Chapter Two

     As I made my way onto the bus I could feel dozens of eyes on me. I was uncomfortable. I wish that I was 2nd to last to get I the bus. The last is Kylee Lanson, she's my friend. But the thing is, she loves attention, so the staring eyes don't faze her.

We pulled up to her house and she didn't come on. Great. Now I'm going through the rest of the beside by myself.

The bus pulled up to the school and I got out. My eyes locked with Sarah. Amanda's old best friend. Once she was out of view I look in front of me.

I fell onto the floor and a painful ache in my head.

"Ouch" I whined as I got up of the dirty school floor. I got that feeling l that something bad would happen. I looked to my left and my ex-boyfriend, Josh,  had his eyes on me. We looked at each other and he started walking in my direction.

"Hey Hailee, how's it going?" He ask as he combed his fingers through his brown fluffy hair.

"Nothing, what do you want?" I spat in his face. Hoping he feels bad for all that he's done to me when we were together.

"Hailee! Where are you going?" Josh asked clasping my wrist.

"I'm getting away from you!" I yelled. "You and Victoria will be pretty happy together! It seemed that way when you were kissing!" I ripped my wrist away from that jerk and ran away. He never said sorry.

"I was wondering if you want to come to my place tonight." He said with a cheeky smile on his face. His light hazel eyes staring into my green ones.

I thought about it. Maybe he would try to make it up to me. Maybe he's going to prove that nothing between them happened and I'm just paranoid.

"Give me one reason." I said as I put my books in my locker.

"I'll make you dinner, an Italian dinner." He replied, smiling. I always loved his Italian food.

"Okay fine, I'll be there are 6." I said and walked away.

I got home from school and threw my bag on my bed and went on my laptop. I texted Josh on Facebook saying that he has to pick me up because I don't have a ride. Neither of my parents were home. My dad was at work and my mom was out wit her friends.

4:00, I read on the clock. I got up and picked out an outfit. A white lace dress, black leggings, and lack booties. I went into the shower and did my makeup. I chose white eyeshadow, some mascara and lip gloss. Nothing fancy, I just didn't want to look like a slob.

I curled my hair and looked myself in the mirror.

The ends of my mouth curled up at my reflection. I loved the way I looked in the dress which was knee length. I read the time again and called my mom and let her know I was going out.

She had the casual questions, "who are you going to be with? "Make sure you keep your cellphone turned on." "Don't come home with a scary surprise."

After I got off the phone with her It was 5:45 and I heard a knock on my door.

I went out of my room and walked down the stairs. I opened the door and saw Josh in a tuxedo.

"Hey Josh."

"Hey Hailee."
