Dragon Ball Z: The Thanksgiving Turkey

Chapter 4: Food In Capsules Isn't The Greatest Thing Ever

After hearing the news from Bulma, Chi-Chi decided to take a look in the Kitchen once more, while everyone else continued to play cards. Without knowing it would be a while before they arrive.

"It's now your turn Piccolo." Said Gohan. Piccolo was floating above the game, as was also in a criss cross position. Piccolo then threw down a red six, as it was now on Videl. Videl proceeded to look in her card deck, only to be no red, but a skip. She dropped it, as it effected Chioatzu's turn. "Oh great." "Why does it have to be me?" Tien tries to cheer him up. "Don't worry Chioatzu, it's only meant to have fun." Chioatzu smiled. "Yeah, your right." It was now on Tien.

"Let's see, a red skip huh?" "I guess I have to follow the same procedure." Tien places down a green skip, skipping Yamcha. "Oh come on!" They laughed, as it was on Goten. "The color is now green?" "Sorry dad, I have no other choice." Goten places a + 2 green card, which he ends up picking up. "Goten!" "I thought we were on the same team!" Goten laughs as Krillin was up next. *If I land a + 4 on Gohan, there could be a chance that the others might lay a sneaky one on me. My only choice would be to..*

"Go on." "Pick a card already!" 18 pushes Krillin, interrupting his thoughts just to tease him a little, while Krillin responses. "Ok, ok!" "This may be risky, but I can't take any chances!" Krillin lays a +4 to Gohan, while he picks up four cards. "Now this game is just being unfair!" Everyone had a laugh, while Chi-Chi went from the Kitchen to ask them something. "Does anybody wants some music to be playing?" Gohan responded. "It would be nice to have some sort of noise to calm us all down." Chi-Chi smiled as she went to play some music from her Juke Box.

The music that she was playing was Pop, as it good to the ears to listen to. "Yeah, I love this tune!" "Keep it up!" Goku was enjoying the song that was playing and resumed to the game. Chi-Chi went into the Kitchen once again and made sure everything was exactly the way it should be. "Let's see." "We have our chairs, not an issue." "We have the plates, cups and the pastries." "We have the forks, spoons, knives." "Table sheet so no mess won't be stained on the table." "Candles to have a good smell for that extra Thanksgiving feeling."

Chi-Chi wasn't sure what she was missing, as she used the time to go back upstairs to her room to stop the headache she was feeling." Meanwhile the game was still going on as Goku was now the one to draw. "Here you go!" He places a green three as Krillin was still worried what he was hiding to prevent his lucky win. "You know I can't let the game get out of hand right Goku?" Goku smiles. "Well, you never know!" "It can be anyone's game!" Krillin laughed. "I'm sure your confidence will slip away from you for good." He places a green >.

"Hey!" "You should always have a simple straightforward path!" Krillin once again laughed, as Goku interrupted. "If that's the way you want it, we'll just play on the same field!" Goku lands a < while Krillin was surprised. "You can't do that!" "That's cheating!" Goku laughed while Krillin had an evil smrik. "Nobody can cross my path and get away with it." Krillin places another >, but being a blue card. "That's where you wrong!" Goku places a < to Krillin, as it was battle.

This went on for quite some time, until Piccolo stepped. "What are you two doing!?" "Stop playing and land a card so we can have a turn!" Goku and Krillin both paused, as they were silent a little until Goku had a say. "Alright, but I just want you to know, I won the war!" Goku reversed it back to normal, as this method angered Krillin. "Hmph, this doesn't mean that this is over with Goku!" Goku laughed, as they resumed the game. Chi-Chi was upstairs laying on the bed, as she relaxed with the room setting was dark.

"Why is this pressure going to my head?" "I shouldn't be worried, we have everything we need in order to start the Fest." "Now that I think about it, I need to make this a Thanksgiving nobody will forget." Chi-Chi then puts a pillow on her stomach and starts thinking. *Maybe I need to o clean the dishes? I already done that. Is the Living Room clean? Other wise Goku and the others wouldn't play cards in the first place. Could something be missing I forgot? Flowers for the table?....* "I knew I forgot to put something down!"

Chi-Chi rushes to go downstairs to go get her flower pot and sits it in the Kitchen. Everyone was surprised how Chi-Chi came downstairs so fast, that they paused the game. "Mom, are you sure your alright?" Said Gohan. "Huff-Huff." "I just wanted to add something to the table so it can feel like a magical experience." Goku interrupted. "Yeah, even with that kind of speed power might be able to rival that of a Super Saiyan." They laughed, as Goten had a question. "Mom, when is Trunks' mom going to bring the food?" Chi-Chi was surprised she let that slip away from her mind.

"Now that I think about, Bulma did tell me that she was going to call us when she gets here." Goku interrupted. "I'm sure hungry to tear up a good round of a gobble, heh-heh!" Just as Goku said that, the phone rings, as Chi-Chi goes to answer. "Hello?" "Chi-Chi, I just wanted you to know we're outside with the food." Chi-Chi is hyped up. "That's wonderful!" "Come on guys, Bulma just arrived!" Everyone dropped the cards and went outside in excitement.

They all approach Bulma as she tells them something. "Sorry for the lateness, the Capsules wouldn't get done in time." "But now what matters is that we're here!" Bulma pulls the trunk handle up from the back of her car, as everyone saw weird looking Capsules. "Would you tell me what kind of a Capsules are those?" She responded. "Well Krillin, this is a Capsule that is a form of a Grill, and may be small." "That's because they are a special kind, and specially made." "It's just like the expression, don't judge a book by it's cover." Krillin nooded, as Bulma picked one up.

"Well, let's bring them in!" The Z warriors began walking up to the car, but before they could reach it, the Capsules starts shaking. "Are they suppose to do that Bulma?" Asked Goku. "No, this is the only time they acted like this!" The Capsules starts shaking more rapidly as they then let off an explosion, throwing Bulma's car up. "Bulma, your car!" Gohan was about to get it, as Vegeta managed to catch it and land it back to the ground.

Everyone looks at the destroyed Capsules, as Bulma sobs a bit. "How did this happen!?" "And why did it happen?" Goku responded. "This doesn't look so good." "If we can't figure out a way to get food, then we'll all be the Turkey for Thanksgiving!"

Note: Sorry it took me a while to release this Chapter. Would've been out sooner, but again with Wattpad and the delete glich. But I figured a way around it, and the stories will be out much faster. Anyway, if you're enjoying the story so far, then Chapter 5 is next!
