It's Christmas time..
Ah, the joyous time of the season. Where every human on this planet get together and spend time with their loved ones and families for an entire week.
However, you didn't have any families or any love ones of any sorts.
You, (y/n), were raised in an orphaned for as long as you can remember. They talked about quiet rumors, saying that your parents didn't want you or they were so poor, they couldn't even afford another mouth to feed, and decided to leave you on the steps of SOS Children's Villages.
Its been 18 years since you lived there and already, its been 5 years since you left the place you called, "home".
You shuddered in coldness as you walked through the snow covered sidewalk that was just a few feet away from Valencia.
You suddenly stopped for a second to look up at the gray skies that were pouring out white, soft droplets of snow that were falling down from the ashen skies. You felt a small smile crept up onto your face as you felt the snow softly land on your (s/c) face.
(h/c) hair softly blew along with the cold breeze that swept across you.
Noticing the wind was picking up quickly, You had to hurry back home before a small snowfall might start ambushing the city of Madrid, leaving you trapped somewhere.
Nearing towards your lonely home, you noticed a young man was standing in front your house. You cocked your head in confusion as the man just stood there, probably zoning out. You also wondered how long he has been standing there, because you noticed he was shivering a bit, but alas, he didn't probably notice himself shivering.
You shrugged your shoulders and cautiously walked up to him. You placed a gloved hand on his shoulder, making him jump, realizing that something was shaking him out of his trance. He blinked a few times, revealing bright olive eyes, and looked towards the source that took him of his daydream state.
"Ah-! I'm sorry...", the Spanish accent coming out the man's mouth as he apologized to you. Raising an eyebrow, you looked at the Spaniard. You were going to question him, but right now..it didn't seem like a good idea. You, however, hurriedly suggested, "Excuse me, but..um, would you like to come inside my home? You look a bit cold", you said as you pointed towards your (hs/c) home.
Nodding vigorously, the man followed you as you led him towards the source of warmth. Unlocking the front door, you opened it and felt a blast of warmth blast into your cold body. Sighing in content, you closed the door soon after the Spaniard hurried in.
Placing your butt on the step of the mud room, you took off your winter boots and placed them in the small cabinet that was next to you, which the man did the exact same procedures as you did with your shoes.
He follows you soon after you got up and guided him some more to a small, comfortable living room. You told him to sit down on the (c/c) couch and make himself at home. You went to the kitchen and shifted through the cabinets.
You gave a doubtful look, realizing you either had, coffee or tea. You sighed in defeated. As you poked your head out of the kitchen to ask the man whether he wanted tea or coffee, you saw him looking at the pictures that were placed neatly on the mantle.
However, he was looking rather contently at one picture particularly. That one picture, was you and Lovi..
It was the of the two of you, together at a festival.
'That was the last photo me and Lovi took together... before the week of the accident..', you sourly thought to yourself, not wanting to remember the accident. Shaking your head, you left the kitchen and walked over to the man. Hesistanly, you asked, "Did you know Lovi, sir?", keeping your glance fixed on the picture itself.
With a tense breathing, he finally answered, "Si..I knew Lovi, he was...my friend years back. How about you, chica, how did you knew him?", he glaced at you now. You sighed and forced yourself a small smile.
"Yes...I knew Lovi..I knew him well because we both lived in the same orphanage when we were kids. Despite he was adopted years later than me, we both would meet up whenever we had time.", your lips quivering, trying to stop the tears from flowing. Shocked by this, He looked away before murming, "Let's...not talk about this right, not especially towards a preson you just met.", he gave a small chuckle before moving away.
Agreeing to this, you went back to the kitchen and decided to brew coffee instead.
From the living room, he called out, "By the way, my name is Antonio Fernández Carriedo, or you can call me Toni. Either one is fine with me~", and then silence. Once the coffee was done, you got out two mugs and poured the hot coffee into the mugs.
Bringing them out to the living room, you placed one of the mugs on the coffee table, and handed the other mug to Antonio, which he gladly thanked. Sitting down next to him, you blew into your steamy coffee and sipped a few of the (coffee brand -A/N: I don't know..really-).
You placed the mug down on the coffee right, after you drank a little, letting it cool down more.
Smiling again, you outstretched a hand towards Antonio.
"I never said my name, but I think its good time now..I'm (y/n). (y/n) (l/n). Nice to meet you, Toni", you giggled at saying his nickname.
Putting down his mug, Antonio shook your hand and smiled too, "Hmm~ (y/n)...(y/n)," Toni repeated, trying to memorize the name well enough,"..(y/n)..(y/n)! Ah~! Its nice to meet you too, senorita!", he gave you a toothy grin.
You blinked and laughed at his dorkness. Confused as to why you laughed, he smiled, while blushing in embarrassment, and scratch the backs of his hair.
Shrugging, he decided to go along with you, and slowly began to laugh with you. You wiped a tear away from your (e/c) eyes, calming down from the fit of laughter. Coughing, you fixed your position and sat crisscross on the soft cushions.
Apologizing to him, you explained, "S-sorry, Toni! Its just..-ah, you just reminded me of how I first tried to repeat my name for the first time to other people...", you looked at him, while tears continued to flow, "Then..it wasn't because I was trying to be weird?", he sheepishly asked.
You shook your head a no, and he sighed in relief. A small prayer can be heard from him as he mumbled for not being a total goofball. You giggled at Toni.
"Oh yeah! I just remembered! Today is Christmas, is not, (y/n)?", he looked at you, like a child who was receiving his present. You curt your head a yes, and then saw him jump from the couch with joy.
Grabbing your wrist gently, making you almost fall off the couch, he pulled you close to him. Avoiding the table that was placed in front of the couch, Toni pulled you away from the tripping hazards and lightly spun you around, which you gave a small playful shriek as you clung dearly to his arms, and continued spinning you around the room.
Afterwords, he french-dipped you, making you blush madly as you saw his face closing in. Your (e/c) eyes grew bigger as you heard Toni whispered into your ear,
"Merry Christmas, (y/n)"
