"Come on, Marienna! You're going to be late."
This order, given to me by my mother, was said at the beginning of a spiral of events in my life that completely changed my world. I was 16 at the time, which is said to be the very best age of life.
I can neither confirm nor deny this theory.
I went through a series of ups and downs throughout my junior year of high school, so many in fact, that it seems to be a very eventful period of my life.
You see, I was perfectly fine by myself, performing with the theater and enjoying quality time with my friends. I had never been in love and I had never had a boyfriend. Surprisingly, I was quite accepting of this. I hadn't set my mind on finding a boyfriend, in fact, I didn't want a boyfriend. I wanted to focus on school, go to college, and start my life. Then, I would go on to find the love of my life.
It's kind of funny how things didn't play out according to plan.
The point is, you can't pick and choose when love finds you. Love will find you at inconvenient times. It will find you in great times! It will find you in good times, and it will find you in bad times. The most you can do is sit back, live your life, and wait for love.
And when you do find love? When you do experience it?
It will be the most perfectly divine experience of your life.
I promise.
