You only live once

Chapter 5

I wake up for my nap and turn to see it's 6:00pm. I sigh and throw off my blankets. I get up and stretch I trudge downstairs. I head to the kitchen and open the fridge, I grab the orange juice and pour it in a cup. I drink it, and head to the living room.

I sit on the couch and turn on the television, I watch the originals. I hear a knock at the door, I get up and answer it. I see it's Hailey, I am shocked she says "hey cody how's it going". I snap out of my trance and say "good what are you doing here".

She smiles and says "I came to see if you aren't busy and wanna join me for some coffee". I say " I don't know Hailey if your seen with me the kids might bother you". She smiles and says "I don't care what they do now let's go".

I sigh and say "come in I need to get dress". I move aside and let her in, she sits on the couch. I run upstairs and get clothes I grab my black jeans with a white t shirt. It hugs my body and shows of my 4 pack. I put in my converse and grab my hoody.

I head down the stairs, she sees me and checks me out. I raise an eyebrow and say "shall we get going". She blushes an stands up, she says "sure lets go". I follow her out and lock the door, we walk to a café. We enter and sit at a table.

She smiles and says "so cody tell me about yourself". I say "nothing to tell really". She quirks and eyebrow and says "really tell me about your family". I say "I live with my mom and dad, that's all". She says "come on tell me more".

I frown and say "no I don't wanna say anymore". She says "cody tell me come on I'll tell you about my family". I say "listen hailey I don't wanna tell you about my family". She says "why cody what do you have to hide". I say "something that shouldn't be happening but is".

She says "I see you can talk to me about it I mean I may seem like a spoiled rich kid but I am pretty laid back". I say "yea whatever you say". She frowns and says "it's true so stop being sour and open up". I raise my voice a little and say "no hailey my personal life isn't your business".

She says "well it can be cody tell me". I growl and say "no hailey I won't and were done here I thought you were gonna be a friend. However your just like them always trying to figure out my life". I see she is shocked, I berate and say "thank you for the coffee but I'm going home where no one will bother me about my family".

I storm out and run home, I open the door and close it I run upstairs and fall on my bed. I hold back tears she doesn't deserve my tears none of them do. I close my eyes and let the darkness consume me.
