Chapter Nine: Behold The Queen's Castle

"Isn't there anything we can do help Tumnus?"Peter asked from his spot next to Yugi who was on his right, looking at the Beavers while Yugi had Lucy in his lap, letting her rest her head as Edmund sat on the steps and Susan took a seat on Peter's left.

"They'll take him to the witch's house... And you know what they say, there's few that go though those gates that come out again."Mr. Beaver said, putting his cup on the table as Mrs. Beaver came over to them, putting a plate on the table, giving Mr. Beaver a sideways glare.

"Fish and chips!"Mrs. Beaver said and noticed Lucy's dejected look and she put a hand on Lucy's shoulder, giving a smile.

"But there is hope, dear."She said, nodding her in Mr. Beaver's direction as he dranked his his drink.

"Lot's of hope."She said once more and this time, Mr. Beaver spat his drink into his cup and looked at Mrs. Beaver.

"Oh yeh! There's a load full of hope... Aslan is on the move."Mr. Beaver said, leaning in, looking at the kids who looked curious at them. Edmund got up and walked over to them with a raised eyebrow.

"Who's Aslan?"Mr. Beaver started laughing

"'Who's Aslan?' You cheeky little blighter ... "Mrs. Beaver however sees they are serious and hits her hand on Mr. Beaver's shoulder, making him look at her.

"What?"She nods her head the kids direction making Mr. Beaver look at them and frowned when he noticed the looks as well.

"You don't know do ya?"He asks very seriously once again.

"We're afraid not, sir."Yugi said with a sigh.

"Besides that, we haven't exactly been here very long."Peter said, looking at Susan then back to Mr. Beaver.

"He's only the king the whole wood, the true king of Narnia!"Mr. Beaver said, his hands flying all over the place. Yugi's eyes snapped to Edmund's retreating form and frowned.

"He's been away for a very long while."Mrs. Beaver said making Yugi look back at them.

"But he's just got back! And he's waiting for you at the stone table!"

"He's waiting for us?"Lucy asked, frowning in confusion.

"Why would he wait for us? We don't even know him."Yugi said, his eyes narrowed at the Beavers.

"You got to be joking! They don't even know about the prophecy!"Mr. Beaver said, gesturing to the kids as he looked at Mrs. Beaver who shook her head.

"Well then?"She said as the kids looked confused, trying to understand what they are talking about.

"Look, Aslan's return, Tumnus' arrest...the secret police! They're all happening because of you!"Mr. Beaver cried out, looking ready to bang his head on the table.

"You're blaming us!?"Susan said, thinking that she had just pieced everything together but Yugi knew that she didn't.

"No! Not blaming, thanking you."Mrs. Beaver said and Mr. Beaver sighed.

"There's a prophecy... When Adam's flesh and Adam's bone sits in Cair Paravel in throne, the evil is over and done."Mr. Beaver said, looking at each of the kids.

"You know that doesn't really rhyme."Susan said and Yugi rolled his eyes.

"Susan, I don't think it's supposed to rhyme. I think Mr. Beaver means that we are Adam's flesh and Adam's bone."Mr. Beaver smiled at Yugi and Susan huffed, clearly not liking the fact that Yugi out witted her.

"Still as clever as ever, Aibou."

Yugi's eyes narrowed and he would have said something but he knew that everone would think that Yugi had finally losted it so he just bit his lip to keep from saying anything and started fidgeting with a ring on his finger that he never took off, he didn't know nor did he remember who got it for him but for some reason he never took it off.
