Dedicated to my horse Honey and all my loyal readers. Honey my beautiful, I'm so sorry I couldn't help you. My heart longs for you more every day. I love you. I'm sorry.
Honey~24~D.O.D: 2 November, 2015.
I nuzzled my father, embracing him with my neck as he did to me.
"Father, we haven't met in years..."
"I know, dear child, although I can not call you that any longer. I lost you. I loved you, and then you disappeared. What happened to you? I thought you were dead!"
"During the storm I slipped and fell. And when I fell no one came looking for me. I was alone and I ended up finding another herd."
"Another herd?"
"Yes, Father."
"And why are you not with them now?"
"I-. I left them. I became a tamed horse. I fought in-." He cuts me off.
"You became tame? After everything I taught you?" He grumbles.
"You taught me nothing!" I scream.
The whole herd lifts their heads and watches as he nips my shoulder.
"Don't say that! I'm your-."
"You left me! You left a foal lost in the wilderness! You never looked for me! Never!"
"I tried to. But you were already gone, Amazon. I did my best to track you down but you had gone. And I couldn't find you. I did my best, I swear. I love you Amazon. But you were gone..." He mutters, turning away.
"Father, I-." He turns and stares at me. His mane drifts in the wind, as well as his tail. His palomino coat begins to darken and drip as rain falls upon us.
"Now isn't the time, Amazon." He replies.
"Who is your little one?" He asks, spinning around to face us. He reaches out to Ranger."This is Ranger. He isn't my child, but I'm looking after him because his mother died."
